My response to the @Indiaunited Contest Theme- : "What Is Your Favorite mode of Transport?"

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 🌻🌻 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

This is a joyful question for me to answer. My favorite mode of transport, well some of you can already guess on this one. Of course it's and Aeroplan or anything that flies. Since a child I have been fascinated with flying, though my first flight only came through at the age of 20. My life also revolves around Airlines and travel. When I first met my hubby, he was working for a travel agent, and then later got a job with a domestic airline in India, after that his career has been in this industry itself all through out. My first job was also with a Swiss Air back office operation KPO office. It has been all the time about Airlines and flying for me. We are an Airline family. Most of my friends are also from the Airline Industry.

It gives me a lot of excitement. Whenever I am flying I feel like I literally have got wings on me. I love to see the clouds floating below from up above, the different moods of sunset and sunrises in the sky while flying, it all just feels very magical to me. In my job with the Airline KPO I had long term deputations in Zurich, and every evening I would go to the Airport at the Airport canteen for the meals. From the canteen, there was a clear view of the take off and landings, and just for that view I would go there every evening for my meals.

On the practical side of it, yes it is faster then other modes of transport for long journeys. I am fond of it but at the same time, it is not a day to day mode of transport. If I would have loads of money then probably I will buy a helicopter for short travels....haha, then it would become a common mode of transport for me in day to day life. In this life time it looks impossible, but it's not wrong to desire.

All my travel experiences are memorable, but my first international travel experience has always been my favorite memory. In those days the security was much more relaxed. As staff I could even visit the cockpit and make conversations with the pilot. All of it is now banned. During my first time flying from Mumbai to Zurich, I had such an amazing experience of visiting the cockpit. The crew was very nice, and when I told her it was my first time, she was trying to make it all the more good for me. It was duty travel and business class, which was like cherry on the cake for me for my first time travel, and I was being pampered like anything. It's a very sweet memory for me.

These are all my personal flying pictures

I'm a flying fan too! Flown all over much of the world in my days and it's always fun. Helicopters still make me nervous even though I've been on the a lot, one of my few flying phobias! lol

That's great to know. I have been only once on a helicopter, which was during my Everest Base Camp trek flying from Kathmandu to Lukla, it was real fun I felt.

Woo, you are really living your life around airplane travels that's beautiful. For my first time, it made me to panic but as time goes on hahahah, I started enjoying it.

I remember, when I traveled from my country to Hong Kong by Emirate airline I was pregnant, though on first class, I was still very afraid but we landed safely. Take care..!

Wow, first class with Emirates is pure luxury. I have never been in first class, for staff we do not get that part :-) and tickets are way too much to afford :-)
