We have a book for this and it seems daunting! We haven't started it yet but we are making small steps to introduce the way the letters sound, not just the letter itself. Our son has been getting better at recognizing a letter if I start to make the sound of it.

One thing we aren't looking forward to is not being able to spell a word out loud and not have him understand what we mean lol like saying "I might take him to the P A R K" if we aren't entirely sure about doing that, depending on the mood or weather haha.

My 4 years old son is enjoying this book. I have Jolly phonics 1 and 2. We finish the part one.

Lovely to know. Yes, I agree, every child is different and Learning at their own pace is important.
