Education Debate Challenge #2 tie up

avatar

Once again, we've had some amazing responses on the education debate and they've been fantastic food for thought. The responses have been varied, coming from different backgrounds and experiences.

This was a really tough decision on prizes, as they were all well rounded debates. In the end, my decision was two first and two second places:
@jeanlucsr and @artemislives each receive 1.50 HBD and 10% beneficiary from this post.
@trucklife-family and @leoneil each receive 1 HBD

How important is freedom of education?

With @jeanlucsr we get a perspective from someone who is both educated and an educator. Also someone who has experienced education in both a developing and a developed country. This submission is a real thought provoker.

@leoneil expands the discussion and also asks if education is a right or a privilege. Could this have an impact on why we don't always see freedom in education?

@trucklife-family points out that we are born with an instinct to learn and the lack of freedom to continue learning in the way that suits us could undermine enjoyment of learning.

As an employer, a business owner and a mother, @artemislives can find herself torn with her feelings on education, depending on the role she is in at the time.

@minismallholding looks at how the education system in certain countries is narrowing options with educational approaches.

A really nice tie-up post @minismallholding - I haven't read all of the other posts, but will try to get there. Really appreciating this focus on things that matter.
