Simple Matching Activities / Capital & Small Letters
Just to recap what he had learned, I had my eldest to help with as a co-teacher, assisting his younger brother in this simple activity. I really needed to clean the rooms, wipe the windows and the fans. I wish I had superpower to accomplish all, but I could not look into cleaning the house thoroughly if that day I also cooked and homeschooled. If anyone had ideas for me to do all chores, please give me guidance, desperate to learn.
Matching capital & small letters
This was actually the end result of the matching. I am proud to say that Jansen had finally able to recognise the small letters, with a little bit help of his brother. Just little bit. So proud he can beat the odds, we heard few times from doctors he might had some learning delay due to his prolonged stay at hospital and the severe usage of steroids in his first year of life. We still believe, slow and steady wins the race.
Earlier in the day, I told my eldest son I needed his help when he was free, to accompany his brother for some simple activity because I needed to clean the dusty windows and fans. He agreed to help. Blessed am I to have a helpful and caring 9-year-old. I prepared the cut pieces of papers and wrote all the small letters.
And we had capital letters erasers we kept in container for some time. We bought them for fun because they are colourful, cheap and nice for collection.
Big brother helped to take the below photo for me as Jansen did his matching.
I was so proud of my sons. They did the activity in peace, no quarreling, so that I could do my cleaning in peace as well. I prayed so hard that God would help me watch them so that the brothers would not fight. We all know children's mood can be random. Thank God for peace. After they were done, I still had some more to go, I asked them to do whatever they wanted.
I saw this when I came out to the living hall...
Jayden: Mummy, I was thinking what else to do with didi (means younger brother), so since we did not do this for quite a while, I asked didi to join me form letters with them. Have a look!

Please don't feel like you have to do it all on your own. The kids are plenty capable of helping out exactly like you got them to do so brilliantly here and if you haven't got them helping with chores already, give them some to do ;D
Great idea for a matching exercise :) Wish I'd thought of that one when my kids were learning letters XD
