Mi aporte en esta ocasión son algunos recursos didácticos que pueden ser muy útiles para que los niños aprendan vocabulario nuevo en el idioma Inglés.
En esta oportunidad el tema a trabajar son las estaciones del año y el clima.
Las actividades que presento a continuación son solo una guía que se puede adaptar a las necesidades de cada estudiante.
Greetings dear educators and parents, I hope you and your little students are doing well.
My contribution this time are some didactic resources that can be very useful for children to learn new vocabulary in the English language.
This time the topic to work on is the seasons of the year and the weather.
The activities that I present below are only a guide that can be adapted to the needs of each student.
Para introducir el tema a los estudiantes les pido que me describan cómo es el clima en su ciudad para el momento de la clase. Luego les pregunto cuál su estación favorita del año y les dejo que expresen todos sus pensamientos con respecto a estas interrogantes. Después de conversar un poco. Les muestro la hoja de vocabulario y les presento las nuevas palabras. Nos tomamos el tiempo suficiente para pronunciar cada una de las palabras antes de seguir con la siguiente actividad.
To introduce the topic, I ask the students to describe what the weather is like in their city at the time of the class. Then I ask them what their favorite season of the year is and let them express all their thoughts regarding these questions. After some discussion, I show them the vocabulary sheet. I show them the vocabulary sheet and introduce them to the new words. We take enough time to sound out each of the words before moving on to the next activity.
En la siguiente actividad les muestro las flash cards y les pido que me describan cada una de las imágenes. De esta manera puedo evaluar el conocimiento previo de los niños. Como ya lo he mencionado antes, las flash cards me permiten hacer diferentes actividades, como por ejemplo subir las imágenes a la plataforma Educaplay para crear las actividades interactivas. También se pueden imprimir para crear un juego de memoria.
In the next activity I show them the flash cards and ask them to describe each of the images. In this way I can assess the children's prior knowledge. As I mentioned before, the flash cards allow me to do different activities, such as uploading the images to the Educaplay platform to create the interactive activities. They can also be printed to create a memory game.

Para practicar la pronunciación y la comprensión auditiva de este nuevo vocabulario, me ayudo con herramientas que están disponibles en la web tales como canciones y videos divertidos que los niños puedan recordar con facilidad.
To practice pronunciation and listening comprehension of this new vocabulary, I use tools that are available on the web such as songs and fun videos that the children can easily remember.
Para poner en practica lo que hemos aprendido durante la clase, lo siguiente que hacemos son las actividades interactivas de la plataforma Educaplay y la plataforma Wordwall.
Estas dos plataformas me gustan mucho, ya que nos permiten crear actividades personalizadas con los temas que estemos trabajando con nuestros estudiantes. Estas actividades son muy divertidas y los niños le sacan mucho provecho.
To put into practice what we have learned during the class, the next thing we do are the interactive activities of the Educaplay platform and the Wordwall platform.
I really like these two platforms because they allow us to create personalized activities with the topics we are working on with our students. These activities are a lot of fun and the kids get a lot out of them.

Con las actividades interactivas damos por terminada la clase, cuando el tema necesita ser reforzado les envío material imprimible para que practiquen en casa y lo retomamos en la siguiente clase con diferentes ejercicios.
