7777 active accounts on hive! Let’s make it 77,777!

That number up on @penguinpablo’s first hive update may sound like a small one, but we need to consider a few things...

• we literally started 3 days ago. There will be stragglers.

• Not everyone is active every day. The numbers will likely be up in the coming days.

• some people are probably waiting on the sidelines to see if this is all legit and to see if we can get listed. (We did!)

• We are getting some of our biggest media yet. If we can showcase the community aspect, we will likely bring many new and old faces to our ranks

• We now have a chance to create a new image in a post bidbot, post steemitinc and post ninjamine chain.

• These 7777 accounts belong to core members, these are devoted people, no fluff, no flakes. We have our differences but almost everyone brings something to the table. Compare this with tens of thousands of bots and self voters that we had at one point at steem. Those numbers were inflated.

• with reduced drama between the core community, no more corrupt and maniacal leadership,

So let’s do everything we can to bring back as many old steemians and new friends to hive as possible. I’m currently brainstorming ideas for contests and initiatives that will add to the mobilization of the community. Let me know if you have any ideas.
