No it should have recorded it. I noticed the official recording had same problem, but then eventually picked up. I'll swap the videos, not sure what went wrong, it was working earlier.
I listened to the recording and could hear Roeland,so I assumed it all worked but for some reason my mic wasn't picking up and I didn't realize that until you mentioned it.
Cool you've shared the first days HiveFest video. Tried the AltSpaceVR at Mac and at a Windows computer. Finally I was able to get to the main room, but unfortunately no video and sounds from the presenters. Had to revert to someone on Twitter airing the session.
Heard your presentation, and I must say: I'm 100% agreeing with you HiveFest shall be much more about HIVE for the outside world, not so much for the HIVE users themselves. Love the trials you do in AltSpaceVR! Cool to hear all the presentation and roadmaps of the well known HIVE dApps, and I think we shall so this as well, but this may not be the best setup for the none HIVE people and audience.
I think events like this can bring more people together and spread the information better than through posting. I think we may want to run more HiveFest like events throughout the year. Not just one. Maybe we need a AltSpaceVR room with regular sessions of an hour or two for the HIVE ecosystem. Maybe every month. That would be nice. Also, your ideas of HIVE communities to create their own rooms/worlds and get some regular events going is something I would like to see picked up. I do hope all the bugs I was encountering can be prevented somehow :)
Am not at all a specialist in VR (dont even own VR glasses, and never really took a VR adventure), but using VR seems promising to get informative and social events going. Better than using Discord I think; Much better :) Is AltSpaceVR the goto platform in the VR universe? Should other platforms be onboarded as well for the HIVE ecosystem to present itself to the outside world?
I don't know how I can contribute, but love to somehow support the HIVE ecosystem. If you like, let's get in touch and am pretty sure we can find ways how I can contribute.
I was thinking the same thing after using Altspace for a few minutes and joining other channels, why not just go together to meet people and drop hive in conversation, or have non-hive related promoted off hive and "sponsored" by Hive?
I love how you brought up that we need to be doing more things outside of our circles to promote Hive, I have started trying to do open mic/meetups on discord between my IRL friends and my hive friends. If you have any projects for outreach I would love to help if I can. I've also been trying to delegate to people who promote hive on youtube in a meaningful, non-spammy way (real comments, not just spam) without links (cause those get blocked), hard to get people into it though....

Alt Space is the goto for adults and more business like events. There are others like RecRoom and VR Chat that are very popular but more chaotic.
