Great write up as I keep seeing this game and it looks like I want it but I'm right there with you.
I dislike the old vibe of it but the mechanics of the game look awesome. I would have rather the graphics be something more like ori and it would have been a total buy from me.

For me, it really doesn't need to look as awesome as Ori just... less bad would do :D
But ya, in terms of mechanics, it's awesome and really something fresh!
