IAAC - It's Good To Be Home
It's a tradition to us, the Igbos (South East Nigeria) to visit the place where we come from during the periods of Christmas and new year.
During the Christmas period, I normally go to the village to visit my relatives and friends which I grew up with.
Most of them also return to the village from their greener pastures.
We celebrate the Christmas by throwing a small party which has different categories depending on age grade.
For the new year, there'll be a carnival in the village where many people from other neighboring villages will come to participate. That's when the fun is at its apex.
After the first week of the new year, most returnees will move back to where they came from since there's little job opportunities in the village (rural area).
Complements of the season!
