Greeting and Salutations

I signed up for steem on Saturday (August 10th) and received my keys today (August 12th). I got my blockstack Id Saturday as well. I have been doing research on blockchain for about a couple months now and am ready to dive in to see where all this takes me. I'm looking to leave centralized social media and hope I can find helpful knowledgeable individuals here that can help me bring more people out if the dark and into the light.

You know there's, a lot of shaming going around on the internet. People making crude comments about how somebody looks or about their weight. Other people making comments about when an individual is talking about their life experiences and saying that it is too much information. No one can ever give too much information because somebody out there needs to hear the message. That message may help some who is going through a tough time. Everybody's path is different and no two people walk parallel paths for very long periods of time. Let's stop labeling each other by color, religion, politics, culture or whatever other means there are to divide people. We are all souls and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. As physical creatures we are all social and crave attention. Let's unite and show we can love and make a difference.

Where I've been.
I was born the fourth of five children and am now the oldest. I (along with my baby sister and the third eldest) was taken from my mother when I was ten because the government decided they did not think my mother was doing a good job. I was a ward of the state until I turned 18. I got married three days later just to get away from the situation only to end up no better then where I had left. That relationship was on the rocks after eight years and ended after ten. I have had a few others but those didn't work out any better. I have three beautiful children by three different men. I don't think I would have done anything differently because everything I have been through has taught me one lesson or another. My awakening started in 2008 when Obama ran for president for the first time. That was when I realized I had been working my life away and having no time or energy to spend with my family. By the end of the month after all bills had been paid I had nothing left.

Where I am?
I'm tired of endlessly giving of my time and receiving little to nothing in return. I have spent many years since 2008 reading and researching and have come to the conclusion that life is not what we were told it was when we were children. Life is so much more. It is about giving in areas that interest us and receiving equally. We have more value then what the world would have us believe so let's just stop and REALLY look around. Ask yourself, if money was no issue what would you be doing?
At this point in time there seems to be a global economic crash coming because others have realized the same things I have mentioned.

Where I'm going?
I want to make a difference in the lives of others so my plan is to open my life and share with others in hopes that anything I have to say may mean something to someone. I love learning and want to pass what I learn on to others. I want to buy a bus turning it into a traveling home so I can see new things and meet new people.
There is so much more I wanna say but I feel I'd end up babbling
Let's unite and learn from each other.

Here are also some tools that I use and I hope you can find them useful too:

  1. Use Partiko App from your mobile phone to post to your blog, comment, and upvote content in SteemIt to earn points which you can use to boost your own content.
  2. If you’re into games, you may wanna try playing Steem Monsters, a blockchain game based on Steem. It lets you compete with other players around the world with creature cards which you can sell and/or convert to crypto.
  3. Get rewarded for staying fit and healthy with ActiFit - a Steem-based app which rewards you with tokens (which you can eventually use to boost your content) for being physically active. If you're already using Fitbit or a similar app, then you'll find this easy to use.

Seven suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, keychain and steemconnect,
  3. The master password is only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your passwords; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit,
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once, and
  7. When you open your steemit.com, in the upper right corner of the page there are 3 bars. Click on those, and then on the "welcome", and you will get a lot of reading material that will help you.

wow! This was great! You definitely realize they stole our young minds from us. Convinced us of something different. That this world somehow had these wonderful things, if you did these only those things were all untrue. Ex. College education doesn't guarantee shit.
