The Magic of Cat Coore. Reggae Roots

(Edited)

This is the month of reggae and Jamaica is lit up all over its shores, the Caribbean rhythm is heard with much fervor, so it is worth knowing a little more about what has made reggae a universal musical genre. In this opportunity I want to talk to you about Stephen Cat Coore, a guitarist who was born in Kingston on April 6, 1950.

He began his musical career in the mid-'60s forming the band Alley Cats with Michael 'Ibo' Cooper, then joined Inner Circle in 1969, Cat Coore joined Ibo Cooper again to form Third World in 1973, where they released their hit single "Now That We Found Love" and Plays The Cello

His musical success begins in 1976 when he replaces Aston Barrel at the Smile Jamaica concert on December 5 in the band The Wailers at the National Heroes Park and then on the European tour with Bob Marley. In the mid-90s Cat joins Dean Frazer to record Breathe Again and Another Sad Love Song.

When Cat Coore picks up the guitar she begins to feel the adrenaline, it's the essential soul of reggae that ignites the energy of our bodies, it's part of the reggae that rose up even in the midst of the siege and spread around the world, bringing down her enemies, Cat Coore along with Marley, Peter, and others, who gave the reggae brand a Caribbean insignia in the music.

Here's a Stephen "Cat" Coore solo for you to enjoy.
