First of all, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I hope you all had a holiday season that was filled with lots of happiness and well spent time with friends and family. May 2020 bring nothing but health, happiness, and prosperity to everyone both on and off the chain. I will be starting 2020 with an absolute bang, as I undoubtedly bring you the largest JAHM power up that has ever taken place since @crypticat started the JPUD initiative here on ReggaeSteem. His recent JPUD post may be found here. This may be one of the biggest JAHM power ups aside from cat or shani’s original staking on ReggaeSteem when they quickly became early investors, staking immediately to the coveted 100k mark making them both elegible for ReggaeSteem’s esteemed JAHM STAKE-N-STAY (kinda wish I was on the ball early like them, investing early... even though everyone here is still early to the party). Nonetheless, I bring you an IRIE power up for this month’s JPUD, starting 2020 off with one helluva JAHM!

JPUD For Newcomers (since we're seeing a lot of you these days!)

Essentially JPUD is the day (the 1st of every month) that we stake our JAHM by turning it into JAHM Power - the stuff we all so wish to have more & more of. The more JAHM you stake in your account, the stronger your influence on the platform becomes. JAHM POWER directly impacts the value of each interaction on ReggaeSteem.

Get Ready for EPIC-ness

This JPUD I will be powering up MORE THAN 25,000 JAHM!! As many of you are probably aware by now, I was recently traveling SE Asia with @super-irie. Throughout the course of this trip I managed to stack JAHM via constant curation, continual posting, and also through buying JAHM directly off the steem-engine marketplace. Over the 3 and ½ weeks or so, I was able to save up more than 25,000 JAHM to power up specifically for this day, which was also strategic in nature since Proof of Stake is set for January 3rd.

I put a lot of time, energy, and effort into this tribe because I believe in the mission and the direction of where things are heading. JAHM and ReggaeSteem are no joke, and things are only going to keep heading in the positive direction for this tribe. I am confident of this. The Caribbean alone is one of the busiest tourist destination regions, and ReggaeSteem offers the first digitized vacation option to select locations in the region. Not only that, but ReggaeSteem serves as the ultimate hub for content creators to come and share anything they wish relating to Caribbean culture, music, food, art, fashion, etc., all while earning JAHM. It’s a win-win-win... WIN!!

Plans To Travel Back to Jamaica in 2020

2020 is going to be a fantastic year for ReggaeSteem, as we continue to build on top of what has already been created, expanding the roots and extending our branches outward toward more and more success. It couldn’t happen without everyone that is already here either, so keep up the valiant efforts and the community as a whole shall achieve maximum success together for all the efforts.

In 2020, I have specific plans to travel back to the island I love, and venture toward the heartbeat of ReggaeSteem – located in the one and only – Negril, Jamaica. @super-irie and I have been talking about this trip for the past couple of years actually. We are well overdue for a trip and it only makes sense that 2020 is our year. ReggaeSteem has enabled us to share so many of our experiences from Jamaica with the community, and with everything taking place in Negril, we will definitely make our presence known here. Jahmfest should be sometime mid-2020, so we are planning this trip tentatively as of now, but whenever we hear of confirmation, we will be booking this trip so it is locked in.

Here, we can meet the team and also any other users, artists, parters, etc. that are a part of ReggaeSteem. For right now, this is the only trip I have planned a side from maybe visiting a few buddies living in other states across the U.S. I am very excited for what 2020 has in store, and I am excited that this is only the beginning of the road ahead for ReggaeSteem.
