I read an interesting story on the webpage CoinDesk, which states that HIVE Blockchain Technologies Ltd., a cryptocurrencies mining company, located and registered in Vancouver, Canadian, has published a legal notice on Monday. The notice reported states that it had sent a cease-and-desist letter from its legal representatives to the administration of Hive.io.

The notice informed the administrator of the new Hive Blockchain that; “...the new blockchain is tapping into its investment in building "goodwill" in the industry. The quote from the article ;

"In response to multiple shareholder inquiries understandably confused by this Blockchain’s announcement, HIVE clarifies that it has no association with this Blockchain," the mining firm writes. "HIVE believes this Blockchain’s use of 'Hive' and 'Hive Blockchain' is, intentionally or otherwise, confusing with the Company’s brand, which it has used globally over the Internet in relation to its connection with blockchain related goods and services including cryptocurrency."

This is an interesting development and I look forward to learning more as this story unfolds. The coindesk article was written by Daniel Palmer a contributor to CoinDesk News Website

They've got absolutely zero chance of going anywhere with this. Hive is an english word. This company, which has very poor name recognition and hasn't even tweeted since retweeting a few things in April 2019, doesn't even appear to have a Trademark anywhere.

This is their most recent tweet (rather than retweets):
https://twitter.com/HiveBlockchain/status/1095013691127324672?s=20

Beyond that, as we've just all established in the fight and fork with Justin, Hive is a community, not a company or even just a blockchain. Nobody chose the name "Hive Blockchain": the community chose Hive and it is a significant technological part is a blockchain (small "b"). Completely different from an Etherium mining operation.

All in all its a nonsense bid for publicity from this company that will go nowhere.
