Brickman Brad - Where Has He Been?

Hey there Lego fiends, how goes it? It's certainly been a crazy few months. First up there was the whole Justin Sun situation which kind of fractured Steem and gave birth to Hive, and then there's been this little thing called Covid-19 doing the rounds that's kind of kicking the whole planet's backside in one way or another.

Anyway, what have I been up to? Well it seems that while much of Australia was being told to stay at home, the appetite for Lego has increased. My Bricklink store has been going great guns and the April - June Quarter has been the biggest in terms of sales volumes since I kicked off around 5 years ago - and it isn't really slowing up at all which is great but keeping me busy (especially combined with my day job, plus another new venture I'm kicking off with a friend and of course family life as well).

But enough of my inane ramblings. You want Lego content don't you? Well this isn't purely Lego, but it is a tale about one of my customer orders.

Back in February - doesn't that feel like a lifetime ago in a different world? - a received a small order from a customer residing at the other end of the State in which we live. Nothing unsual about that. She paid me, I posted the parts the next day and life goes on.....

About three weeks later I got an email from the customer politely enquiring as to whether I had shipped it yet as it still had not arrived. Now this was considered quite unusual as the package should have taken no more than two or three business days to arrive. After a bit of conversation back and forth, it was discovered that the buyer had moved house and forgotten to update her address on the Bricklink site. So I resent her order, it arrived within a couple of days and everyone was happy.

Fast forward to the end of June and when I collect my mail I see one of my packages back in my mailbox with a Return to Sender sticker on the front.

The infamous Return to Sender sticker

It turns out, that the new occupants of my customer's previous address had been intending to take the letter to the post office, but it was misplaced only to be found and returned a few weeks late.

So what strange things has the mail system thrown up for you this year?

And for those of you that were wondering what she ordered......

Until next time, Leg Godt - Play Well
