Digital "TOKEN" in a "Digital Wallet"

I'm sure this is nothing new to many who have redeemed their crypto-currency "tokens", but I found the wording VERY interesting.

VISA is using our terminology of REDEMPTION of DIGITAL TOKENS.
I received this digital token by simply going for an oil-change at my local CHAIN. I know they are more expensive, but no appointments, drive through with a coffee.. so much easier.

In any case I remembered that there was a signup for a pre-loaded VISA card for $20.00. They acknowledged there was such a thing and I signed up online with a picture of my receipt. Low and behold about 2 weeks later I got an email asking me to confirm my details.

I was given a digital redemption code similar to a coupon code and punched it in.
I was expecting a VISA card pre-loaded to be mailed to me. Boy was I surprised when it was simply an email which used my beloved crypto-terminology.

Looks like I'll be shopping online with this code. I'll see how much of a hassle it is to use. I guess it's better than nothing. Still no Q-R code or bar code or chip to insert. I believe the FED / other central banks will eventually be employing similar methods to directly inject money into main-streets accounts.

Stay tuned.. it's coming.
