I never understood what a “purposeful life” is until I got to University.

If a purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable

This adage is applicable to everyone so far you’re born of flesh and blood. I have not come across an individual who does not have an aspiration or goal to achieve something. That means, everybody is full of aspirations and goals.

But it would be devastating if such individual do not understand the essence of his/her being. Back to my university days. I got admitted into Faculty of Law, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Osun, Nigeria in the year 2012 (although, I wanted to opt in for Mass Communications) but my Alma mater do not offer such course.
Notwithstanding, since I graduated from Law I have been into Marketing & Communications big time.

My early days on campus was full of jamboree and gallivanting. I don’t really have a social life on campus neither was I academic driven. I was neither cold nor hot. Guess I’m lukewarm! Most of the things I was doing were just influenced from friends and colleagues. I could remember I sold my allotted bed space and bought a latest Blackberry bold 3 then. Haha 😂

Fast forward to what made me realize living a purposeful life should be at the center of ones pursuit. Although, I am a literature student but I hardly read generally. My first encounter with books other than academic knowledge was when someone asked me to read this book titled “Living a Purposeful Life” by Rick Warren

I encountered my real identity with that book. I understood the basis of my existence and what are my aspirations for the future. Ever since I read that book, I had a self discovery. Book reading is a great way to build capacity and academic muscles. Also, to understanding of life and everything that comes with its.

Let me highlight the things you can concentrate on to reach your full potentials;

  • Read books that will gear you towards making headway in life.
  • Get a notepad/jolt, write everything possible you want to achieve (good or bad) daily, weekly or monthly.
  • Have a daily goal and work towards achieving them.
  • Pray, Rest and always Meditate.

Thanks for reading, I will see you soon! 😊
