APPLYING FOR A JOB (CSR)

Philippines is popular in providing call center agent or costumer service representative. It became one of the in demand job in our country. They need a lot of personnel to work here. Mayhe because the other countries really like the service of the Filipinos. The Filipinos around the world are know as a good speaker in english. Unlike the other countries our tongue seems used to in speaking english.

The reason also that many Filipinos love to apply in this kind of job is because of the good salary and benifits. By the way the labor wage of a worker will depend on a certain place. Like for example, the city of Manila has the biggest minimum wage of all. Maybe because Manila is the center of the country or the capital. Even though Cebu is a city, it can't be compared like the wages of Manila. If the minimum wage of the city in Manila is 500+. The minimum wage of Cebu is 400+. There's a big difference of it value even if the prices of products, food or etc. are the same. How much more the minimum wage of a Province. Of course it's lower than a hundred.

The reason that many people want to apply CSR is because their wage are above minimum. But always put in mind that being able be selected is hard. The applicants will undergo 3 different types of interviews and a typing test. The initial interview, preparation interview and the final interview. As you can see in the image above, many of us are still waiting to be interviewed if we will be qualified.

The process seems need a lot of time. The management said that my interview will be at 3 pm but I'm still not call yet. Well, since I'm the one who really needs a job desperately. All I need is to wait and have patience. Just writing for now so I can practice my skill in english. But if anyone would willing to have some voice fall,. It will be more preferable..

thank you for reading

Good luck. A lot of these type of jobs tend to have high turn over rates. There always seems to be one or another business recruiting all year round for various call center contracts.

Don't give up!

The company I work for hires a lot of people in Manilla, Cebu, and a couple of other cities across the Phillipines. I know they're practically recruiting all year round. There's definitely lots out there.

Keep at it!

When I was overseas in the U.S. Army years ago, we used to have Filipino bands come to entertain us sometimes. We loved those shows, for the pretty girls and the great covers of the songs they performed. It was the closest thing to home we got.

The guy that replaced Steve Perry after he left Journey is a Filipino!

Hey sorry that it didn't go well? I had my share of time working as a CSR years ago. It could be pretty tough especially if working on night shift. Keep on trying.

Are there no non-profits that run English classes in your area my friend.
At Papillon here in South Africa we have trained more than 3000 French refugees in our English classes. For free!
Have a look around and see if you can find something to upskill you!
Never give up my friend!
Blessings!

Hi. By the time I read your post, I see you didn't get the position. I'm so sorry it didn't work out. Keep on looking and applying. Do those call center jobs require higher level education, such as college or any particular skill set prior to applying for a position? I was just wondering.

no, as long as you'll be graduated in high school but it requires strong english skills communication. I know how to speak but my accent is really bad that's why I wasn't accepted.
