Seeing Through The Lies Of Your Subconscious Emotional Instincts

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” ― C.G. Jung

Your subconscious is like a wild beast that needs to be kept on a tight leash at all times. If you let him out to play without supervision for long enough, chances are he’ll fuck shit up unapologetically. Catch him on a bad day and he might also put the blame on you. Taking accountability just isn’t his cup of tea. But that doesn’t have to stay that way. Your subconscious bosses you around because you let him. And taking back control of the commands is your responsibility and yours only.

The subconscious operates like any master mind manipulator does - it will play all sorts of tricks on you to get his way. And unless you activate the fuck out of your conscious mind, you’ll fall for his lies every time. The reptile part of your brain doesn’t have the capacity for awareness. It doesn’t reflect - it reacts.

But you, on the other hand, armed with this incredible tool named the conscious mind - you can defy the little bad boy that is your subconscious, and stop him right in his tracks. How? By calling him out on his lies. By acting in spite of what he’s telling you. By refusing to be ruled by his impulsive ways. Most of all, by acknowledging that he isn’t all that he’s led you to believe he is.

Being a creature of habit often times comes with the side effect of losing touch with the WHY that underlies what we do. Like a broken record, we let our autopilot play out the same old reactions, because we once learned that reacting a certain way in a certain situation in a certain environment way key to ensuring our survival.

Yet the problem is that we often act in ways to ensure the preservation of our fragile sense of self, without realizing that what we’re doing is only damaging us and potentially the ones close to us all the more in the long run.

Very nice article. We do have to try to identify what the subconscious part of our mind is trying to get us to do. I love "master mind manipulator" - very nice alliteration! :)

Seems that its not just the other people around us that are trying to influence how we think and act. It's also that hidden part of our own mind that wants to do it too. We have to examine all influences on us, external and internal.

Too our shame we’ve build lots of the world on a lie that’s how propergands works you take a little reality and then stretch it with the fake and people string along! Deprogramming yourself takes time! Don’t rush it

Stay hungry, stay foolish!
