Christmas Decorations For #MarketFriday

avatar

I guess it's time to post my Christmas photos for #MarketFriday hosted by @dswigle. I've been delaying these posts as I don't like to start early. I believe every event and every holiday has it's own time and starting two month earlier will just make you get used to it and won't be such a joy when time comes. This is just me, that's how I think it should be but others don't think like me. Anyway, let's see what you can buy for Christmas these days.

I've been watching the evolution of these Christmas decorations and to my surprise, starting from last year I guess, products made of wood are more and more. I remember every Christmas we had to throw away a few ornaments because those were made of glass or some very fragile material and of course, most of them were broken the next year.

What you see on the photo, the most of it is made of wood, which is my favorite. If you buys these, you won't have any problem for a good few years.

These are not made of wood but still tougher than what we had when we were kids.

What I like the most at this supermarket is that they are decorating each tree differently by colors. If you like white and natural colors, this is your place.

If you like blue, which is very popular by the way, this is the place for you.

Those feather like decorations are not exactly my style but others may like it.

Another strange decoration is the butterfly. I've never seen one as Christmas decoration before. December is a winter month in my country and butterflies don't resist to cold temperatures.

Of course, not everyone is thinking like me, some people are open to anything, even use butterflies on the Christmas tree. I won't.

This is a nice one, I love this white. It's simple but beautiful.

Apart from the car, the rest of the decorations are beautiful I love that little bird house, it's perfect. Next year I'm going to buy one for sure.

Here you could find everything you needed. I bought some angels.

These wreath were also nice. Have never had one, maybe one day :)

IMG_20191211_114639a.jpg

I'm pretty minimalist when it comes to Christmas decorations, I'm not buying much as I believe the tree is lovely with a few decorations and avoiding over decorating my tree.

However, I'm buying a few decorations each year as the old one break and it's nice to see new ones as well.

Nice stockings, a little bit different from the usual red and white one but I love these more.

I'm so happy to see you put your Christmas photos up. I realize that you were delaying until Thanksgiving was over and Thanksgiving was very late this year. A time for every season. There are a lot of wooden end tin ornaments and decorations this year and in the last few years. I could tell you that I dropped three fragile ornaments this year and my wood floors are very unforgiving. I should have put a carpet underneath and it's never happened to me before but it got unhooked when I banged it putting another ornament up.

When I was a kid the ornament seen sturdier and they were still made of glass but they were heavier. I love the blue it seems to be everywhere this year. I have to agree with you on the butterflies I have never how the reason popular. I know that they symbolize different things in China and probably most of those ornaments are made in China? Could that be it? I do love the white tree and next year I think I'm going to get pay aluminum or silver tree to stand in my foyer although I will have my real tree in the living room. White is beautiful. I like a nice wreath on my door so I would be attracted to the reefs that you showed but I make my own so I probably wouldn't buy it but I would look at it for ideas.

You are a minimalist when you come to decorating your tree and you know that I over decorate with Christmas ornaments so in that place we ar different. But I do tend to think that they are beautiful also and I think that's why I have a couple different trees so I can decorate them differently. I cross stitched the kids stockings when they were babies, just like my mom did when I was a baby and my family just tends to keep the same stocking their entire life I think. Anime thank you so much for being a part of the challenge and I really enjoyed your Christmas ornaments and store!

#MarketFriday loves you!

I have the habit of not posting Christmas stuff early and this year was not different.
At this point I believe most of the ornaments and everything else is made in China for a very good reason but I also know they are producing for the western market and know what to create and what not.
However, times are changing and you see all kinds of decorations and after some time they seem normal. That could be an explanation.

Anyway, This Christmas was an eye opener for me and already have plans to make some ornaments for next year. I have exactly one year to study, design and make them 😁

Anyway, sorry for the late reply, life has been crazy lately and thanks again for the nice comment!

Happy Holidays and New Year!
