Fun in Frankenmuth

Frankenmuth is a small town in Michigan known largely for its Old World Bavarian themed ethos and architecture as well as its penchant for Christmas decor all year long.
The streets are lined with quaint, although some might say, kitschy, small shops with an assortment of the widest variety of foods and goods, mainly having a Germanic flavor.
I always enjoy trying to get a post into Market Friday. It is a great weekly challenge run by our own Steem Queen the lovely @dswigle. Thanks Denise for all the effort you put into the Market Friday tag!!
Make sure to bring your wallet though!
We often eat at Zehnder's all you can eat chicken, but it is about $25 a person. However because of the ice festival we opted to try Timbers. Aptly named of course.
We had a coupon for a free appetizer, so these were free :D
My slaw was good and creamy.
The French dip was delish. Wonder if they do seconds? LOL
Over all not too bad...

I love it when you go to Frankenmuth and show us around this little Christmas Village. And to tell you the truth the food doesn't look too bad. And free ??? You know what they say? Nothing's free in life. They lure you in that drawer on the office of free appetizer and then they know that you're going to be too guilty to not order something big and yummy! How did you wash that all down without beer? Or wine or Bavarian sausage at least!! Right??

Having visited the Bavarian region in Germany your photos brought back so many lovely memories. What an amazing look alike Germanic flavoured Michigan photos. I felt I was back in Germany.
