Surely are stirring around the house. Then end of Christmas is always a reminder that time indeed keeps slipping on by.

Finally got the lights and decorations totally off the old tree. I think it help up really well. I am thinking I should push it off to the side and see if we can nurse it along till next year! Shout maybe even get it to root and plant it out back :)

Since this is a Market Friday post I always like to thank our hostess with the mostest, the lovely @dswigle. She goes to a lot of hard work to make her Market Friday tag enjoyable!

Of course I am never one to waste, and I thought the branches still looked good. I sprayed them with some stuff that keeps them for a real long time...

So with all the Christmas decorations finding their way into plasic tubs for the year long wait, it has left quite a void where they once were. Seriously it looks so empty. So I am slowly dressing it up in my own personal Old Guy style and that of course is hillbilly de-lux!

Your getting into chickens huh? Pretty neat and farm housey.

My Mom takes all the decor off her real tree, but leaves the lights. She then puts it on her back patio and waits for snow (which takes longer down here) .... so that when it DOES snow, she can turn the lights back on and enjoy it out the sliding doors. Makes for a sweet atmosphere.

All kidding aside, I dislike taking all of the Christmas down, just giving a stare down to the emptiness that it leaves behind. I have to say, I like @jacey.boldart (OMG! I just wrote coldhart! ) mothers idea! But, we get sooooo little snow. I am afraid we won't even get any this year.
