Market Friday the Jewelry District

A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Steemit, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and daily challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

For this weeks post, I am sharing a few shots from in the jewelry district in Manhattan, which I have walked by many times but seldom taken shots, but I swung by there last week looking for one shop that someone mentioned and I will feature a shot of that and explain why later in the post.

Starting with this shot of Jewelers on Fifth, one of the many jewelry shops in this area, around 5th and 47th Street there are so many Jewelry shops and hence why it is called the jewelry District

It was good I was there on my own or if my wife had been with me I may have ended up going into at least one of these stores, but I successfully visited the area without going into any of the stores and spending anything.
Now do not get me wrong I am not cheap and if my wife did want some jewelry I would get it for her without a second thought, after all, she doesn't mind when I spend money on camera gear LOL.

Here is just a small portion of the jewelry shops along 47th Street

By this stage of the post I just thought i hope by this stage that @dswigle has not fainted as I am doing a Market Friday post on an actual Market LOL

And this next shop is the one I went to check out after @silversaver888 told me about it being a great one if your thinking about buying silver for gold coins, rounds or bars, The Bullion Exchanges, I was actually considering popping in there to see what silver they had but by the time I was finished snapping shots and about to go in it was quite busy, so I headed back to work and may visit there again sometime

I hate going into jewelry shops. The sales people are always so high pressure and it is really hard to even breathe in them! I was lucky that my wife wasn't really into jewelry too much until I bought her a couple of pieces. Now is a different story! Thankfully she is content with the pieces she has right now :)

Yes I am glad my wife is happy with the jewelry I have as I feel the same way about going into Jewelry Stores I hate the whole experience as well

Bright shiny's! I remember as a child I would always try to find a new piece of crystal for my mom every year. These days, being allergic to gold (seriously) I have no need to enter a jewelry store anymore other than to enjoy the shiny's.

I am happy enough walking by and looking at the Shinys in the windows if I ever go into a Jewelry store again it will be too soon LOL

I used to browse through SF Union Square jewelry shops, until the city developers created an area at the Potrero Hill District for jewelry merchants. I would love to be able to take a photo to share with you too! Alas, SF is 100 miles from where I live now. Thank you for the mention, my friend , I appreciate you! It makes me want to get over my blues and post an article right away! Good morning!🌞

At this point in my life, when it comes to jewelry, if I don't have it yet, I don't need it. If i am going to spend money on some gold or silver, it is going to be in this form.

You beautifully photographed these stores Jay! They look to be very swanky and there are so many. It's a wonder they make enough money with so much competition. Definitely, a place I would do some window shopping..lol.😀

I agree but when you're talking NYC you can't hardly have one without the other can you? Unless you go out at 3am? I guess you're not a Times Square maniac who crams in there with a million people to watch the ball drop!

You are so totally right! Is taking me this long to get up an answer you after I passed out in a dead faint from seeing a actual Market from you. LOL I know that you understand I am kidding around because you put out some of the most amazing Market Friday post, although, to be honest with you they are unique and quite eclectic. But you know for a fact that that is exactly what I love!

There is something to be said for the rows and rows of jewelry stores just sitting there waiting for me to discover them. That's not a selfie my dear! Would you like me to show you how a selfie is done! LOL

As always, you take me to the most wonderful places on the streets of New York and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all the time and effort you put into posting into the challenge. As always I wish you a most wonderful day and I want to thank you for showing us a piece of your world.

#MarketFriday loves you!

LOL sorry for making you faint i was so worried about that lol 😭

Unique and eclectic I like that and take it as a compliment thats what I try for :)

I know thats not a selfie but the closest to a selfie I like doing it, I was at a ribbon-cutting today for the reopening of a remodeled back that have some of my photos up, and they wanted a few photos of me with various people involved and the photos, and thats why I almost didnt go, I hated it but in another way it was a cool experience.
Not sure what I will come up with for this week, its been a bad week for taking photos but I will come up with something ;)

Thnaks for the tip and I love Market Friday :)
