Financially speaking, one of the biggest challenges for any Rated R movie (which is the heaviest stamp any movie project can receive) is to succeed at the box office. However, although not very common, some movies can do that... But Joker really exceeded any and all expectations.

The fans and the bosses of DC Comics are certainly laughing from ear to ear and they reason for that, after all, Joker is a movie had a budget of $ 50 million and has already surpassed the impressive $ 1 billion mark worldwide. This is a brand much coveted by the major studios, but the club is very select and has now gained another important member.

In addition to being the company's fourth most lucrative title with this movie, Warner Bros. managed to score the eighth largest box office with a solo comic character as its main draw. The tendency is for the box office to be even bigger, because the movie has not yet made its debut in China (which is a super important film market for movies of this genre).

Violent, controversial, visually striking, brutally entertaining, reflective, exceptional, and so many other adjectives can easily describe all the force in this movie. Directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquim Phoenix, this is - without a doubt - one of the most important films of this year (and one that will surely be remembered for years).
