My favorite music to listen to lately

I am always listening to music when I am on my computer. I usually have my Plex server streaming my music but lately I've been running YouTube on another screen and playing playlists of music I like.

Many of them are not professional artists but covers and unique versions of popular music.

Here's a few I really like and tend to play over and over.

Vincent Vinel - Lose Yourself

I don't watch the voice or any of these shows, but I love watching the highlight performances. This one I especially like as it really catches you by surprise and I love the judges reactions.

Daniele Vitale - Dance Monkey

I've been watching a lot of Daniele Vitale lately. Dance Monkey has been getting super popular lately but hearing it played with a Saxophone is a totally different experience.

2Chellos - Thunderstruck

I only recently discovered 2Chellos and I'm hooked. Not only do they absolutely destroy with cellos, each video is a work of art. This is the first one I watched but all their videos are fantastic.

Lindsey Stirling

This song kicks ass and reminds me a bit of Firefly. The video is fantastic.

Covid-19

If you are stuck at home due to Corona, you will likely be able to relate to this parody cover of Adele's song Hello.

Happier in Beat Saber

If you haven't seen Beat Saber, it is a virtual reality twist on Guitar hero. Naysy on YouTube has a lot of great videos of her playing popular songs on expert difficulty.

This is one of my favorite songs, it's funny because it comes from an anime, Cowboy Bebop. This music is very special to me, at certain times it makes me feel melancholic, but at other times it relaxes me quite a bit.

Lindsey Stirling and 2chellos are great. I like Rob Landes as well who uses a looper pedal. If I ever get into playing violin again I definitely will want to get one of those devices.

They are, I only recently discovered them. I love how much effort they put into each video well beyond the musical talent.

Hauser has really crazy facial expressions, sometimes going to the limit of mental stability 😂

Yeah, the 2cellos are cool! I always love it when music is not following main stream, but trying to find new paths.

I like for instance Canto Ostinato a lot. Created before time ago before the modern electronic music was invented, while this piece of music is the prelude to what once was called rave music in the electronic scene.

The beauty of this piece is that it was written with lots of freedom to the performer. It can be played with 1 piano, but also with 2 or 4 pianos, or in combination with other instruments. When using multiple instruments, the idea is that a kinda echo is created with the second instrument playing the same, but 1 count later.

Check this out... 4 pianos in this case...

2CELLOS is something what I've been looking for :) Vibe in Thunderstruck is just incredible. Searching for more, I've found a jaw-dropping Nirvana cover
