If your hair is dry because of dyes or different products and you don't know what to do, I can have a solution for you here.

Grandma's Hair Tip.png

I don't know if and I have told you that my mother is a stylist... but not just anyone, she really knows natural tricks that I have never seen a conventional hairdresser use, and this is because her paternal grandmother was an herbalist and natural cosmetologist so I teach her about the use of fruits and some oils for skin and hair care; then when I have a problem with my hair, I call her and she surely has an ingenious solution for me.

I'm one of those people who forgets that they have to comb their hair every day, so I usually have a bun in my hair until I have to comb it out of obligation, or until what happened to me last week happens to me, when I tied my hair up so much that I had a giant knot in the back of my hair that I couldn't untangle in any way. In addition, my hair has been very dry lately because of the products I use.

The shampoos and conditioners that arrive here in Venezuela are usually of poor quality, and those that are of a good brand, are over $40 or $50, so my exit sometimes is to choose the one that is more economical or the one that fits my pocket.

Result... a torture to comb my hair.

The last time I cut my hair, I was waiting and praying to God that it wouldn't fall out, and taking care of it I decided to cut it to lighten its weight. I really liked the way it looked long, so this time in order for me to grow beautiful and strong I must treat it, only I must leave my bad habits behind.

I thought it was time to do something about it and what better than Pachamama for this task?

My mom has already taught me how to make several masks with fruits like strawberries and avocados, but here where we are we can't go out because of safety rules with the covid, so taking advantage that we must cure Adiwaju with aloe, I thought that I should also make a mask for my hair.

Preparación || Preparation

The first thing you must do is important, call me crazy, but I believe that every plant or creature has a soul, is a being, so in this way, I go to the place where I'm going to cut the segments and ask permission to the wise to remove a few penises, and I tell him to use them, so I go to a kind of blessing from the plant.

You have to know that the best time to cut them is at sunset

WhatsApp Image 20200707 at 9.31.44 AM.jpeg

After this ritual, which you can skip if you don't believe in it, I go and cut the stalks that I think are necessary, I leave them on a plate while one by one I remove the edges so that they can drain the iodine from them, and I can use the clean crystals.

They should be left to rest for at least a couple of hours, or if they have time, all night.

2.jpg

After they are ready we proceed to open them in the center leaving two faces and then with a spoon remove all the pulp.

and then place it in a strainer to separate the pulp from the gel that comes out.

4.jpg

When you have the pulp it is best to blend it and strain it again until you have a fairly uniform gel.

My mom blends it very well with 2 tablespoons of honey, but I don't have any honey or blender at the moment so I decided to strain it by myself hehehe.

Once the preparation is ready, empty it into a glass container with a lid and store it in the refrigerator.

Now... ?

With this we have the basis for several things we can try with the aloe

WhatsApp Image 20200415 at 9.56.08 PM.jpeg

Pre-Aplicación || Pre-Application

To apply these masks I wash my hair very well with shampoo, and I comb it until it dries so that it can absorb the aloe more.

Once dry, I divide it, here it can be as you prefer. I make two braids and little by little I apply the mixture from the ends to the roots if necessary.

Argan, coco o almendras || Argan, coconut or almonds.

If you have any of these oils, prepare in a bold, 1/2 cup of aloe vera gel with 1/2 tablespoon of oil, apply it only to the tips, leave it for 40 minutes and remove it with water only.

WhatsApp Image 20200415 at 9.56.08 PM.jpeg

Aplicación || Aplication

I usually apply it in the mid-afternoon, and let it dry until the next day, where I take a bath in the morning and remove it with water only.

You can repeat this procedure for 3 days in a row, I recommend doing it on weekdays when you know you won't be leaving the house.

But if you do not have time, you can also leave it under the same procedure of oil, 40 minutes and remove it with plenty of warm water.

My habit is always to sleep with aloe vera on, this time my hair was not completely dry, so I put a towel and wrapped it, the next day my hair was different.

6.jpg

My hair is slowly regaining its strength and vitality, but I will still be preparing some masks to help me with its recovery, so I thought I would share them whenever I can so that if anyone is encouraged to try them, they can also tell me about their experiences.

This is such a lovely post - yes, if only more balding men and people in general KNEW about aloe vera and the magic it does for healthy scalp and beautiful hair. Smiling cos we use it on the fighting wounds on our male cats too. 😆 🐱

The kitten is already growing hair very fast and I have no doubt that's why! A hydrated scalp is apt to be abundant.

Sorry to disturb. Sometimes something can't be handled by our own. I know you have supported my works always. Still I found no help except from you. Though, never thought there will be a day that a I will have to ask for financial help. I am in need of 100$. It would be a great help if I get it.

Moreover it looks that I have to quit hive too.

Hope, if I said something unusual then please forgive me!
Thanks.
