The Brave Browser Review - Earn By Browsing

Okay, so you've just stumbled on the brave browser review and you're wondering if it does what it says on the tin? I hear you. It's 2020 and we're in an era of websites promising you the world but actually delivering next to nothing. I know, I've been there many times before myself. And I've been gullible enough to try them out.

Thankfully, you learn through experience what scams look like, and what kind of projects do what they say on the tin. Luckily, in this the brave browser review you'll find that it does exactly what it says it does and a whole lot more. Like, so much more. An incredible amount more.

Let's start off with browsing. I'm hedging my bets here and assuming that you're thinking of using the browser for general looking at websites and social media. If you're a publisher like I am then I would definitely suggest that you scroll down to the part where I talk about the advantages of publishing with the brave browser.

Anyway. On with the show.

The Brave Browser Promises To absolutely reorganize the way in which adverts are shown

So you go onto a popular news site. Or a magazine if that's what floats your boat -- and you come across this wave of ads that make you think whoever it is that you're reading doesn't care at all the experience their readers are having. They are just numbers to them, and numbers earn them ad revenue.

Thankfully, with brave, you can block that crazy assault on your eyes. In fact, it does that automatically. Brave blocks any sort of activity whatsoever, from videos auto-playing to blocking those horrendously spammy ads. It does it all, and with very little effort.

If you were to use any brave browser it would tell you that it allows you to have a quiet, and safe browsing experience without all the hassle of the other browsers.

The Brave Browser Review: How Do I Earn?

Ah, you want this juicy stuff don't you? Yes, I know, I know, this is what you really came for -- to know how much you can earn on the side with your daily browsing habits?

Well, first of all Brave is a cryptocurrency with which it deals in BAT (Basic Attention Token).

Now if you're new to cryptocurrency then you'll probably think that I'm going to lose you here, but to keep things simple; right now, BAT has a value of around $0.20, so if you have 10 BAT, then you have the equivalent of $2.00, simple, right?

Brave Browser

Okay, so I use Brave regularly when I'm working on my computer and I can expect at least £5-10.00 in BAT tokens per month, that's around 30-50 BAT per month. Now, it's all dependent on how many advertisements you're willing to see per day. I like money, so I have opted to see 5 advertisements per day -- and I get BAT token for doing this. It comes straight to my browser. So I earn BAT and can exchange it in my wallet for cold hard cash.

Let's be real here. How do I bank it?

It's a simple process once you have it all set up -- but setting up will take a little time. It's easy getting BAT to your browser, the hard part is transferring that BAT into cold, hard, cash. But don't worry, I have your back! I'll show you exactly how to do that.

First thing you want to do is download your Brave Browser here

Once it's downloaded and you have it all set up then you're going to need to connect it to an uphold wallet.

Okay, so what is uphold I hear you ask? Well, Uphold.com is where Brave links the BAT coins to, so whenever you get a payout then it will go to your Uphold wallet. You'll have to understand that there is no way of getting around this. Your BAT coins WILL go into your uphold wallet.

To do this you will need to go to settings >> Brave rewards. Usually, when you first start brave (or at least when I first started brave) I received a grant -- which was something like 30 BAT. From there click on where it says wallet unverified.

It will take you to the uphold wallet and it will ask you to verify yourself on there. You will need a smartphone, google authenticator, and some form of ID.

First they will ask you to start up some authentication by linking your google auth on your phone to your account on uphold, then, once you're in they will ask you to ID yourself.

To be clear -- most of us in the cryptosphere do not like verifying our identity when using cryptocurrency but it has become a necessary evil for the banking sector to integrate with us. It's basically so they can check their records should they need to. It's a law that various governments have set up throughout the world to combat ill intent.

In this the brave browser review you may hear me talk about the KYC process (Know Your Customer) which is basically giving the organisation you are connecting with personal proof that you are human, and an actual customer.

Anyway, once your KYC is done then it's plain sailing from there. You can cash out as much BAT as you want, or similarly buy as much as you want too. Just set up your bank, and boom. It's in there. Just like this:

BAT and why it's important

BAT is tipped to be the cryptocurrency of the year when the Bitcoin season finally takes hold. A lot of people are holding onto this coin because they think that not only will it make massive gains but it's set to completely re-shuffle the way in which advertisements are distributed. If we're thinking big, which I usually am, then can you just imagine a world where you can control the amount of advertisements you see, and earn from them when you do?

I like that idea.

I know a few people myself that have millions of dollars invested in cryptocurrency and have had their eyes on this coin for quite some time. In my opinion the reason that it's still relatively inexpensive is because people are trying to buy it up on the cheap.

How To Earn More BAT - Become a Brave Publisher

Another simple process. Connect to the brave platform and sign up as a publisher here and follow the on screen instructions. You'll obviously be wondering what it means to be a brave publisher and what sort of requirements they want from you?

Thankfully all that they require is a website or a social media account and you can start plugging away being a brave creator. It's pretty cool really. Since I've started they've added reddit, github and vimeo as new ways to earn. If you use a lot of these platforms then you could find that your brave earnings will be quite substantial; from not only publishers, but the rewards you earn from your own advertisements that you see.

Right now earnings are quite small, and that's to do with the fact that the price of Bitcoin isn't very high currently -- but just you watch, as this post matures you'll be looking at it thinking and wondering what I'm talking about.

Brave have also released a new options where they can show ads on your site. It's in experimentation mode right now but I'm completely sure this will be rolled out across the entire platform when they've tested it out fully.

Why Brave Browser and not Chrome?

To be fair now I've been using brave for at least 6 months. I've found it to be really security conscious, and I very much like that. Earnings aside, it keeps you marginally safe from intrusive advertisements and malicious scripts. It will automatically block anything on a web page that uses anything that remotely looks like it can be used against me.

I feel safe with Brave. Okay, so sometimes it's annoying when I am browsing a site that I know is safe and the blocking mechanism is still on, but after a click here and there I can undo all that and it will remember my selections for next time.

With Chrome there's none of that. No real safety measures. No spam filters, no nothing. Of course you can absolutely download an extension to help with this, but brave has provided this functionality built into its system.

And -- plot twist. It looks and feels exactly like Google Chrome. And I know we all use chrome for its functionality and speed, right? So you aren't losing any speed or browsing habits, only that it will block some features that your previous browser would normally let through.

In Conclusion?

Okay, so in my mind Brave is by far the best option right now considering the amount of time people spend browsing the web versus the amount of money people earn. In my honest opinion it is a super nice on the side earner, and will benefit you for years to come.

The weirdest thing... my browser tells me ads are not yet available in my region, while I do have them on my phone... don't know what the difference is
