When memes are not funny anymore

Sometimes I check instagram search tab to see some memes that I can relate to, to laugh, spend some time. (ahh... I know, not a good thing to do.)
But I made this meme, with photos of our car, I took three days after the incident, and I was in the car at that moment. (next to the driver). Thank God, I'm fine, and I made this to make other people laugh but it's not funny for me. It's too relatable, even beyond that, it's it, exactly.
Though I think I will laugh at it in few week, maybe even few days.
I think it's a good approach to relate a funny thing to an unfortunate incident. Then, maybe in some time, you will forget the sad part and remember the funny things.

I've been in a few of those and it does get easier with time, but it's not the kind of thing I'd wish on anyone.
Do we get tougher or it's the situation that gets easier?
Anyway I realized life is meant to be hard, and it's not a choice we can make, the choice that we have is to either try hard and make our life hard and satisfying or take it easy and let other factors that are out of our hands to take control of our life and make it hard for us.
