A dirty win for relentless Arsenal

This is Monday night FA Cup round 3 between Arsenal and Leeds United.

Arsenal looked all set and prepared to take Leeds United at the Emirates. Both teams are known to have histories between them and the history continued in this fixture as both teams are set to take each other out from the FA Cup competition.

The game started with Arsenal showing some fighting spirits and trying to make a statement of how the new manager Mikel Arteta has turned things around. Leeds United with no hesitation decided to take the fight to Arsenal.

Leeds grew into the game and became more dangerous by the minute which kept the Arsenal players on their toes.

Arsenal tried to keep the first half of the game at par as both sides played out a barren draw in the first half.

The second half began with second pressing for a result. Xhaka made a solo run through Leeds half and won a fowl which was almost converted by Lacazatte on the 50th minute. A nice free-kick which was denied by the goal post.

Another pressure mounted by Arsenal which was stopped by Leeds goalkeeper. A more dangerous Arsenal side at the beginning of the second half.

Leeds also tried to make some runs in order to put a dent to the Arsenal side but Arsenal quickly recovered from a counter-attack which was converted into the first goal of the game by Nelson, a goal to the Arsenal side on the 55th minute.

Arsenal kept dominating the matchup and showing more threats to the Leeds side.

The game continued with Leeds United trying to find their way back but Arsenal's relentless pursuit of the ball won't let the visitors have their plans executed.

Arsenal pressed more and were able to get some attempts but after 90min, it was Arsenal all the way into the next round with a 1 nil victory over Leeds United.
