Time to eat! | Inktober Day #4

Do you know these famous photographs that freeze unique moments? When they take pictures of a balloon full of water and explode it, when a glass breaks and the pieces are left in the air? Or as in this case, when they throw a dog some food and puts his lunatic face excited to eat it.

I laughed a lot while choosing the photograph that I would use as a basis for my 4-day #Inktober entry. I really liked the happiness that this little friend conveys with his face. This time I wanted to do my cartoon-style illustration, with a rather twisted background but that focuses its attention on this special moment between croquettes and the dog.

I have used the Medibang Paint program, in its Android version. I invite you to enjoy the creative process below ♥

1.- The first thing was to load the image to Medibang and trace the contours with the pencil tool.

2.- I decided to use the watercolor brush to paint the base of the colors, degrading each of the tones used.

3.- I have replaced the contour lines with thicker ones on the edge of my character and for the finer details.

4.- Finally I painted in the background in gray tones and ending with a blue contour to give that final touch. Voila!

¿Saben estas famosas fotografías que logran congelar momentos únicos? ¿Cuándo le toman fotos a un globo lleno de agua y lo explotan, cuándo un vidrio se rompe y quedan los pedazos en el aire? O como en este caso, cuando le arrojan un poco de comida a un perro y pone su cara de lunático emocionado para comerlo.

Me he reído muchísimo mientras elegía la fotografía que utilizaría de base para mi entrada del 4 día del #Inktober. Me gustó mucho la felicidad que transmite este amiguito con su cara. Esta vez quise hacer mi ilustración al estilo cartoon, con un fondo bastante retorcido pero que centra su atención en este momento tan especial entre las croquetas y el perro.

He utilizado el programa Medibang Paint, en su versión para Android. Los invito a disfrutar a continuación el proceso creativo ♥

Paso a paso

1.- Lo primero fue cargar la imagen a Medibang y trazar los contornos con la herramienta lápiz.

2.- Decidí utilizar el pincel de acuarela para pintar la base de los colores, degradando cada uno de los tonos utilizados.

3.- He reemplazado las líneas de contorno por unas de mayor grosor en el borde de mi personaje y para los detalles una más fina.

4.- Por último he pintado en fondo en tonos grises y terminando con un contorno azul para darle ese toque final. ¡Listo!
