Hello to all art lovers ^ _ ^ !!! je je Finally I could take this weight off, I had this redraw pending for months, but the typical commitments made me postpone it.

If I had time without redrawing my students, although this case would be one of my alumni, unfortunately Jofred did not return to class, which is a complete shame I still had a lot to teach him, he was my oldest student , I think he was 16 years old, and he had a lot of potential, when I met him he showed me a drawing that he made of the protagonist of the anime "My hero academia" and I look very similar, but curiously when creating his own drawing he forgot how draw since the drawing did not fit with many errors of proportion, this is a problem with all my students, they can draw a very similar image of any anime or cartoon but when it comes to drawing their imagination they can not do it and end up getting frustrated or giving up. That is why my classes focus on teaching them to draw directly from their imagination, that is the main reason that I am making these drawings, I hope that one day Jofred will come back and see this drawing of his character, 2 of my old students They came back this year, so I still have hope ^ _ ^

This is the first time I make so many mistakes when making the sketch, which I corrected in its digital version (my God! Just look at that hand that bigger than your head, that is not done)

I have the same problem as your students!

I'm finding that I just need to remind myself to really SEE the details in life, rather than the whole picture. I'm generally good at this with nature. In that, I can imagine things in nature because I have memories of studying them.

Where strangely, faces and body shapes are not the same. It's like in my imagination my proportions get confused... So maybe features that are more noticeable in my subconscious end up being larger than life. I guess that could work in my favor for cartoons though.

Anywho! Thanks again for sharing your works and processes. I hope your student returns too!

Actually we all have that problem when we are beginning to take the drawing more seriously.
Not for nothing it is easier to imitate and copy, but creating something new in our mind is difficult and complicated
Of course, one that you manage to create that idea will be a million times more satisfying than achieving a replica of an image.
I know very well to frustrate you that the drawing does not come out as you imagined it, that is one of the reasons why I share these guides with you, when you know all these drawing techniques and tools very well, you will be able to draw exactly how You imagine it and even better ^ _ ^.
