Hoy 18 de Noviembre es un día muy especial en toda Venezuela, pero es aun mas importante en la ciudad de Maracaibo y en todo el Estado Zulia; y la razón es una sola hoy es "El Día de La Chinita" . Seguramente te preguntaras, quien es la chinita? 🤔. Así es como la llaman los zulianos por el cariño que sienten por la Virgen de Chiquinquira que es la patrona del estado Zulia. La virgen vela por toda su gente y nos cubre con su manto.

Es por este motivo que durante estos días, la gaita suena con mucha mas alegría en todo el Zulia. Donde realizan fiestas en honor a la Virgen en toda la región, pero quizás la más impresionante sea el famoso Amanecer Gaitero, en el que el pueblo del Zulia se une en la madrugada del día 18 en la plazoleta de la Basílica, para cantarle a la Chinita las Mañanitas y el Cumpleaños Feliz.

Cantándole un tema muy especial y hermoso que lo hicieron como el himno para La Chinita y que cada año se lo cantan con mucho amor y devoción, un tema de la agrupación Los Chiquinquireños llamado La Elegida, la historia contada en canto gaitero desde el lado de la humilde Mujer que recibió en su casa a la Chinita.

Un dato curioso ¿Sabían que Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Chiquinquirá ademas de ser la patrona del estado Zulia, es tambien la patrona de Chiquinquirá en Colombia y de la ciudad de Caraz en Perú?.

Se preguntarán si soy del estado Zulia, y la verdad que no, soy de la zona central del país soy del estado Aragua. Pero, el Zulia es un estado que he amado desde pequeña, comenzando mis andanzas artísticas cantando en una agrupación de gaita y villancicos con mis hermanos. Es un estado lleno de cultura, y recuerdos vivientes en cada esquina, y el clamor de amor y respeto hacia la chinita es la muestra mas pura de todo zuliano y Venezuela.

Today, November 18 is a very special day throughout Venezuela, but it is even more important in the city of Maracaibo and throughout the Zulia State; and the reason is only one today is "La Chinita Day" . Surely you wonder, who is the sweety? 🤔. This is what the Zulians call it because of the affection they feel for the Virgin of Chiquinquira who is the patron of the Zulia state. The virgin watches over all her people and covers us with her mantle.

It is for this reason that during these days, the bagpipe sounds with much more joy throughout the Zulia. Where they celebrate parties in honor of the Virgin throughout the region, but perhaps the most impressive is the famous Dawn Bagpiper , in which the town of Zulia joins in the early morning of the 18th in the square of the Basilica, to sing to Chinita las Mañanitas and Happy Birthday.

Singing a very special and beautiful theme that they did as the anthem for La Chinita and that every year they sing it with much love and devotion, a theme of the Los Chiquinquireños group called La Elegida , the story told in piper singing from the side of the humble Woman who received the Chinita at home.

A curious fact Did you know that Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá, besides being the patron of the Zulia state, is also the patron of Chiquinquirá in Colombia and the city of Caraz in Peru?

They will ask if I am from the Zulia state, and the truth is that I am not from the central zone of the country, I am from the Aragua state. But, Zulia is a state that I have loved since I was a child, starting my artistic adventures singing in a group of bagpipes and carols with my brothers. It is a state full of culture, and living memories in every corner, and the cry of love and respect towards the Chinese girl is the purest sample of all Zuliano and Venezuela.
