It’s probably just a matter of time until the China/Taiwan standoff morphs into a kinetic conflict. China certainly has overwhelming manpower but Taiwan would be able to inflict some serious pain. And it’s not as if China could utilize tactical nukes since the U.S. would almost certainly respond in kind. A wild card is how massively America’s economy is dependent on Taiwanese semiconductors. How far would America go to protect Taiwan?
