"Paintings in Progress (18 Feb. 2020)" by Richard F. Yates

These are all acrylic on stretched canvas (the one on the left has Sharpie, as well.) 2020.

Acrylics dry quickly (compared to oil, in particular), but not quickly enough when you're impatient (or pressed for time.) I wanted to have ten new paintings finished by March 1st, but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to meet that deadline. (Might have to dig a couple of last summer's canvases out of the garage to make quota.)

The point is to set up an Etsy store with (at least) ten original, finished canvases by March. We'll see! (I'd cross my fingers, but I need those to paint with!)

Here are some close-ups of the new ones...

Not sure how they'll turn out, but I don't usually quit adding paint until I'm reasonably happy!
