Steem Malaise?

Steem Malaise is a term I 'coined' when it just seems like those using the chain are part of the same 'old'. The trajectory of a token that has free fee's, actual user names, quick transactions, and multiple other positive dAPPS still get's killed by something with nostalgia and almost no use case.

#31 Dogecoin
$287,690,265
$0.002341 $79,605,025
122,880,945,944 DOGE

How can this much money exist into something that is worth 0.002 cents?
Is that even speculation?

Steem
$45,331,015
$0.127069 $429,948
356,742,217 STEEM

I mean is this just not embarrassing? More use case, and it's beaten by simple nostalgia. Ok, nostalgia has worth to it; just look at vintage items on e-bay. So perhaps Steem malaise is in actuality loss of confidence. In fact I have seen many people move on from crypto-altogether. It seems stalled, dry, speculative at most. The only thing seemingly to move the markets was perhaps world war.

Token markets seem speculative at best. Logic does not dictate anything when it comes to crypto. I mean who would choose a chain that has slow transactions and costly? Deflation token models, Inflation token models, speculative "pump' token models..

Ok so this is the malaise. I'm not going to write AGAIN how much better Steem is than facebook. The fact of the matter is Facebook is winning; even without you the author getting 'paid'.

That's Steem malaise.. are there positives? Of course and we can focus on them. Venting and complaining get's nothing done. I'm stuck on this STEEM chain because it took a hell of a long time to learn it. Perhaps that's its undoing. Learning is like putting your hands into freezing cold water. The main positive is along the lines of nostalgia. The emotions, the work to learn, the experience is just as important.

Just spoon feed me with Facebook. When multiple accounts well known were powering down; they knew something most of us didn't. They knew the speculation and good times were over. They abandoned it because they had the for-sight to know nothing is changing. But those are crypto ROI guy's. They would be back in a second if the returns looked good. There's no loyalty when it comes to money making schemes.

So be honest with yourself; you aren't here for the money. Those here for the money are already at the top. They will continue to fleece as much as possible and it won't change. Join your tribe, join your hive; just know why you are here. It's not for the money. It's for the experience.

But we all wish it was for the money ;)

What? Steem don't pay in Dogecoin? As I average 10 cents an hour, don't you think I'd be doing something more worthwhile by now? Lol, im off the hamster wheel and post part time for the creative exercise.
