Grigno River Park in Trentino Alto Adige - Discovering Italy with alequandro

Titolo Post Steemit.jpg

Hi everyone, here we are with another episode of Discovery Italy with alequandro!

This post is a bit different from the usual, because besides being a bit short I had a negative surprise when I arrived at the place...

I admit I didn't do extensive research before leaving.

I was already in Pieve Tesino and since I had some free time to visit, I used the smartphone to look for interesting points of interest and I found the fluvial park of the Grigno stream.

From the images it looked good and I decided to go exploring...

Finding the place was complicated because there were no signs to indicate access.

After 20 minutes of searching the different apps and sites I was able to park the car...the beginning hadn't been the best!

I understood that something was wrong but I noticed a path and I decided to continue...

ITA

P1340658.jpg

At one point the path skirted the stream, the water level was at least 2 meters below my feet and the path was far from safe.
Even at one point he ended up on a cliff, so I tried to continue making my way through the woods.

ITA

P1340660.jpg

On several occasions I tried to return to the main path of the river park but failed.

I realized that the great storm of October last year also hit this area ... inside the forest there were sand and pebbles, branches and debris.
The river was devastated, the edges had been eroded, the furniture of the park had been swept away and dragged who knows where!

ITA

P1340661.jpg

So I preferred to keep walking in the woods where I also found a mushroom with astonishment.
I say with amazement because the ground had obviously been modified by the water and sand that modified the substrate.

ITA

P1340664.jpg

A few steps and here is another clue to what was a disastrous storm that destroyed millions of trees, especially in the mountains of northern Italy.

A piece of the spine of an animal that has probably been run over by water...

ITA

P1340663.jpg

Shortly afterwards it was impossible to continue so I was forced to turn back.

As I walked towards the car I was thinking of the force of nature, of humanity that does not care continues to speculate on the territory by cementing it, creating monocultures, fragmenting it and polluting...

I think of the Amazon forest that is threatened by the interests of men and has been burning for weeks...how sad!

P1340665.jpg

I visited this area with a bit of melancholy, I thought of visiting a river park and instead the environment was upset.
Unexpectedly the excursion turned into a meditative walk.

In general we live our days thinking only of ourselves, that nature is just a side dish that we believe we possess, to use, as we wish.

In the last few years things are changing but very slowly.

The feeling is to be a spectator of an ongoing, unstoppable decline.

I hope I'm wrong!

ITA
