You Get What You GiveNew Radicals

Wake up kids;
We've got the dreamer's disease...

These words right here are so powerful. Imagine when you were a child and the world was fresh and new. Remember when you thought anything was possible? Well, as life goes on, we realize that even though we have many options in life, those options are still limited. We actually can't be anything we want to be, unfortunately. That is the world we live in. The beauty of this world though, is that we can dream of anything we want. We can think about the beauty that would be if we were able to live out that perfect world. The other side of the coin though, is that we also become more grounded. What do you do when everything you knew about life and it's ability to give you anything you can imagine, comes crashing down? How do you attach yourself to a reality that you didn't think existed and then force yourself to be ok with the situations and circumstances contrived from that existence? What if we knew what we know as adults, as children? Would we care to exist? Would we WANT to live in a world of limited possibilities and oppression at the hands of others? They say children are some of the purest and most honest things in this world and their ideas (When set on the path of positivity, good, and creating instead of destroying.) are clear and generally without inhibition and fear of judgment and that it allows them to define and construct ideas better than most adults can. What would you do if you knew this world was what it is, when you were a child? Do you think your life would end up differently? Do you think you would have developed and established and grown upon different principles? Just some thoughts! Music like this and simple lines make me think infinite amounts of things and I figured I'd share a little bit. :) Hope it made you think some. Hopefully those weren't negative or bad thoughts. lol.

Can't forget;
We only get what we give.

If you get shit thrown at you, it's probably because of your shit throwing. Watch yourself and watch others. We should only give others what they give to us. If it's love, give love. If it's shit, give shit. An eye for an eye doesn't make the whole world blind. It makes us think more deeply about the consequences of our actions. Most crimes that are committed are against innocent people and done by people who know that the worst that happens to them is a cell and the continued existence and ability to be fed, given water, and sheltered. When you make the consequence for stabbing someone, being stabbed three fold... they think a little harder about that. The most common element in crime is the lack of threat to the perpetrator. Increase that to the level of the crime and I guarantee anyone with even a quarter of the mental ability of a normal person, would think thrice and beyond about committing a crime of any given nature. An eye for an eye makes the world see through one another's eyes. It makes the person put themselves in the other person's shoes, without a question. The punishment for a crime no longer becomes a cell alone, it becomes an amplified version of what you've done, done back to you, and then a sentence. Bet crime goes down ten-fold under this model! Oops, fucking rambling! My bad! :)
