My Actifit Report Card: February 17 2020
At the church today I met with an organ builder RImantas Gucas and two of his guests - organist and organ expert Marin Rost from Germany and a veteran organ builder Ferdinand Stemmer from Switzerland. They wanted to see the organ at our church as part of their trip to Lithuania to investigate the possibilities to restore some historical organs in our country.
After Martin played the organ and they both went inside and took some pictures we went to the university cafeteria nearby and chatter a bit. That's were Ferdinand Stemmer told me about his project of restoring organs in Transylvania, Romania, in the medieval town of Brasov. He told me about a big organ festival there which takes place at the Black Church on the 19th century Buchholz organ that Ferdinand restored and on other instruments which are in possession of the church.
I need to write to the organizers our organ duet recital proposal.
