Unscheduled post

Hello Folks!

First of all, this is not the planned content that I had in mind today. Its something else! But, I think that in some ways, some of you guys are curious. I mean, I can write something funny, serious, a bit of crafting and so much more. Well, the truth is that, I have always wanted to become a writer. In fact, I think that in my past life, I might even be one. Anyway, in this incarnation, I am a nurse and a blogger!

Sometimes, I myself do not know where I get the ideas behind my posts. I am not copying someone neither am I trying to imitate someone else's writing style. In fact, I think that I had seen a few who tried to copy my style. I did not exactly do this

though a part of me wanted to. First of all, I have a physical body. I can't really do this

and end up at their homes and do this

In the end, I just get amused simply because I never expected that from them. Who are they? I will not name them. Let them be because imitation is the best form of flattery. Unless these guys discovered a way to possess me or steal my mind, they won't really know what I am thinking. And, no one even knows what I want to write unless I say so.

I am reminded when I was young ONCE. When I was in high school and most of my classmates used to write poems which are about love, having crushes and relationships. I was busy doing this then

because, their creativity is centered on that. There was even one who tried to copy my style then. She was a very respected person but then, she just cannot peg the part of writing.......

It bothered her so much that she even started hanging out with me. She kept asking me where do I get my ideas, how do I make them, do I go into a site to research or, is there a book that I copy or get my ideas from.

To be honest, I think I got it from my dad. He is a writer and editor too so, it runs in the blood I guess. My parents had always encouraged me to read. In fact, when I was younger, I would always want them to buy me books, books and more books. As a result, I got exposed to different genre, get to know this and that artist and, generally have a different perspective in life.

Yeah. People think that I am weird especially when I disagree with them. But come on, when you climb a mountain, there are many trails on getting at the top. Some are boring, others challenging and a few, impossible. But at the end, you'll get at the top of that mountain.

My advise to those who are starting their life in our community- write. Just write. Write anything and make it interesting even if its as trivial or as boring as a fart. Ask @brittandjosie, there were times. Yes. times. Plural that I wrote something about a person who sued his farting boss. I promised never to mention this but, I just can't help doing that. Now I can't stop doing this

simply because, laughter is the best medicine. When I write, I write for me, I write for those who follow me and I write for our community. I owe it to these folks to give them something to inspire, intrigue, sometimes something to make them cry and laugh. My life is not as interesting as it sounds here in my blog but, I love it anyway.

Life is beautiful. Life is mysterious. Life is a wonderful gift. And, I'll keep writing and writing and writing.

Thank you @jaynie But even when it runs in the blood, if I don't really work hard, nothing will be done! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Definitely write - write what you feel drawn to write. it doesn't have to be spectacular, or earn a million... but there are stories that only you can write! i'm glad you find an outlet on Steem.
