Flow with the world instead of opposing.

"We must be in harmony with the force and not in opposition to it."

Source of the image and the quote

One of the things that surprised me as a boy was to find out that Bruce Lee had a university degree in philosophy, I saw him as an action actor, in fact he is the actor who popularized the martial arts in American cinema and started a whole genre within its time.

It is interesting that as a martial arts practitioner, his thinking was very innovative and his fighting style, whose name can be translated as the Interceptor Fist, was very striking. In the quotation that serves as a corollary, I can find an idea closer to the styles of Tai Chi, where the idea of flowing with the world, not opposing the passage of force, but becoming one with it and helping each other, is a fairly common idea. But, it amazes me that this same idea was shared with a thinker and fighter whose master technique was based on intercepting the force of his opponents and nullifying their movements in their early stages, causing them to become ineffective against him.

However, I support this thought, it is something that I like and that most of the time I prefer to practice, in the face of a superior force, gentle tactics are the most effective I have seen, a lesser force is not opposed to another which is greater, because that only leads to destruction, but if you can flow with the attack, use your own force against it and get rid of the aggression, then it is a success. Ok, I know that sounds like an idea of Judo and Jujitsu as well, but I can defend that it is a thought shared in Eastern philosophy by different schools of combat and has proven over the centuries to be very effective.
