Hi everyone

Back to another session of macro photography.

Check previous season summary:

summary part 2
summary part 3
Final summary

In the absence of external objects, i started by looking at home for something that could provide interesting results in its most imperceptible details.
I found this frame full of material:

This was the "model" chosen for the photo shoot.
I assume it´s a tangle of dried leaves:

I think I wrote about it sometime in the previous season, but if I didn't, at least I thought about it.
I definitely have to set up a portable studio for these macro photography sessions, something very simple with a flexible support for the objects and some directional light points...
But while I'm not mounting that, I have to settle for that small space near the sofa armrest where the standing lamp is :P that little spot in the corner reserved for my photo sessions...
So let's go, point the light and we're ready.

Before presenting the results, let me explain the technique used to shoot these macros through a short visual tutorial :

Now let´s see the results:

The inverted lens technique provides good macros in a very accessible way, however, it has a limitation regarding focus field which reduces dramatically in proportion to the lens approach! This type of photography requires a lot of patience and rigor, especially when obtained through this technique. The use of tripod and trigger is highly advisable.

More sessions to come...

Thanks
