Suomieksotiikkaa STNA! – Autumn Melancholy
Suomieksotiikkaa STNA! (roughly translates to Finnish Exotics for fucks sake!) is a series where I show the uglier side of Finland, in the mids of all the beautiful nature. It's a sort of reality check, that it's not all winter wonderlands, lush greens and beautiful lakes in here. It's showing the gritty, old, abandoned, rotten and dirty, but it's also for finding beauty in those too.

Finnish autumn, my favorite. No, not really, but it does make for some nice melancholic photography opportunities, one just has to be motivated to go out and catch them, which can be hard considering the weather. But luckily I got some company from @rrusina who was ready to come shoot with me and walk the dog. It became more like a talkwalk than photowalk (how do they always end up as such?), but again, I did end up with a few nice exotic pics of the nitty gritty Finnish autumn.
The melancholic photography goes great with my melancholic mood. With the shorter days and lack of sunlight I can feel myself getting increasingly tired and ever so slightly more depressed. I'm not a huge fan of the fall and winter seasons. Nice photography though. You got some great shots. I like the pathways, the large rock and the building through the trees. Very cool

Don't forget to dose some vitamin D! I'm taking a proper dose of 50 milligrams daily and I think it helps, my energy levels have been quite good thus far at least, whether it is because of supplementing or not, doesn't do any harm at the very least.

Yeah that's a good point. I should try some vitamin D supplements. I don't take them currently but should give them a try. Thanks for the advice

It's pretty in the traditional sense when the sun is shining, doesn't happen that often though so better get used to unconventional prettiness :D

What can you do when experiencing ever so shorter days and fewer sunshine? Melancholy of Autumn has it good side, too. It makes you enjoy the colours and crispy mornings. Upvoted and followed!
