Do all caterpillars turn into butterflies? - Photography & Gif Art

Hello!

This question came to my mind today when I was trying to edit some pictures. A few days ago when I was at my grandma's place this little beauty came to her house. I grabbed my camera and took some pictures of it.

Nikon D3100 - f/5.6 - 1/80 - ISO 800

I felt kinda philosophical while I was editing this picture. I saw how the angle made the wall looked like a hill and the little caterpillar was on its way to get to the top of it. Some questions arose from this

  • Do all caterpillars turn into butterflies?
  • How can this beauty be so much dangerous?
  • What is going to do after it gets to the top?

According to my research, yes, all caterpillars become butterflies, or at least this how things should be. They can cause harm if we touch it but it is to defend themselves from predators and damage. When it gets to the top physical or metaphorical the next thing to do is to keep moving forward.

This was almost an accidental shot I took of it. The caterpillar was not comfortable at all in front of my camera like the other insects I have portrayed in the past. Maybe they are always moving fast, IDK. This was just the feeling I had when I was taking the pictures.

I'm honestly fascinated with the beauty and wisdom of nature. The way that made me feel this picture is priceless. Did you also felt kinda philosophical? Let me know in the comments.

Thank you so much for reading

Lots of love,

W.

Not if they die as a Caterpillar. Many roast in the sun, especially here in Florida

They all have the right to but not all of them are capable to make it because of different factors.
I didn't know the sun could cause so much damage to them. This one showed up on a rainy day, that totally makes sense because sunny days here are very hot.

They are vulnerable at that stage of their cycle so they are on the defensive to protect themselves and become a beautiful and sublime butterfly. I missed the pictures of your little bugs 😊🐛

I guess at this stage of their cycle their mission is to stay strong and beautiful.

This happens with me also, most of the times. I just wait the insect to feel it easy and protected, only after then i go close to it. But it's always a difficult work for me to capture insects picture.

And as you said about the beauty and wisdom of nature, then its really astonishing always. If we give little more attention to every part of nature, then we will find that everything is made with a great planning and wisdom...

Great picture and also the blog👍.
