Our backyard is almost done

It's all coming together

The past week and a half, we have had landscapers over at our home working on our backyard. Our sprinkler system has been messed up for the past 2 years and that meant that our backyard was never getting watered and the combination of lack of watering and dogs pretty much ruined the whole backyard.

During the time that the people were working, our dogs have been cooped up in the home and have spent a lot of time in their kennels. If they weren't in their kennels, they were usually at the backdoor whining to go out and see what all the people were doing in the back.

The landscapers had to tear up the whole yard and it was nothing but dirt back there for about 4 days while the order for our sod was being put in and while they were working on our rock beds. Our rock beds used to be filled with spiky weeds that were near impossible to keep under control. They removed all of the weeds, sprayed and laid new weed blocker down. We also got a dump truck and a half full of new rocks for all of the beds.

Both Titus and Harley are extremely happy to have a backyard full of soft grass to play on. They have spent the morning going crazy in the backyard and getting all of their pent up energy out.

All of the excitement that goes on when Harley and Titus play always draws the attention of our neighbor's dog. This goofball of a dog always jumps to look over the fence at us and see what is going on. It is hilarious how high he can jump and the dumb faces that he makes as he is doing it.

The next step in making our backyard awesome is going to be putting together a swing that we got yesterday. Hopefully it cools off a bit so we don't roast out there as we are doing it. We are excited to be building the backyard of our dreams right now and to start making new memories with the kids and their friends back there.

Seems like a great place to play for the dogs, and a happy place for you to relax.

It just looks beautiful. Your landscapers did a really good job.

I spent a couple of years working with a Landscape company. My part was pump and sprinkler callibration, but I got to see a whole lot of the landscape crew (Don't screw up my sprinklers or I will damage you :)). Just to say that I know how much work is involved.

I love the neighbor dog. My rottweiler used to jump to see over the fence or into windows and it was pretty hilarious. Maybe it's a 'black and tan' thing?

Very tidy yard and it's looking so well manicured the dogs would be loving it chasing them selves around 👍

Looks great. We are glad we have an area of pine trees and mulch in the far corner where our Golden Retriever Lola will always go to do her business... the pine needles make it much easier to pick up compared to the grass.
