Thanksgiving in my Heart

In the week of Thanksgiving, the one in my heart, I piece together a wreath to hang on my door, to greet the guests who will be coming to my house... and I think to myself, nature has a way of making the most welcoming of wreaths.

I am thankful for the stranger that I encounter through daily living. Their gifts ripple out upon the spiritual waters of the earth and uplift the bond of our shared humanity. People make the world go round.

Listen to the music in your heart and the soft whispers in your soul, letting the moment cover you in a blanket of pure delight.

Happiness is waking up every morning and being grateful for another day. Friends. Watching the sunrise. Watching the sun as it sets. Letting your hair blow in the breeze. Walking through the rain. Smiling and having someone smile back. Happy, blissful, delighted, joyful. You don't have to pick just one.

Happiness is so very underrated. And contagious.

There are mornings that just seem "more" than others. If we can take in those precious moments and embrace them, just a little bit longer. Oh, yes! What a wonderful world; what a beautiful life.



I see trees of green,
red roses too.
I see them bloom,
for me and you.
And I think to myself,
what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue,
And clouds of white.
The bright blessed day,
The dark sacred night.

The colors of the rainbow,

Today is a #BeautifulSunday by @Ace108, where we share our day in the most possibly beautiful way that we can. I find myself lamenting the garden again, where the flowers lay in wait, for spring and so I will call it a day, a definitely #SublimeSunday in the making, by the Meister of my morning, @c0ff33a. I do love my @c0ff33 and he likes eclectic! A definite match made in my heaven.

Most excellent, Denise because that's what they were intended to do! I'm hanging in there, thanks - hubby is slowly but surely recovering from surgery, and our kids have been amazingly helpful. Sending oodles of love & good thoughts to you and yours, and thanks so much for the awesomesauce tip!

You nailed that right on the head! We do have some wonderful holidays and Thanksgiving is one of my favorite oh, well after Christmas of course. It is the one time where everybody in my family gets together with no excuses. I just love having everybody together and I know they like to be together also but sometimes life gets in the way. What a fantabulous post I know fantabulous isnt a real word, but its oen I save for special occassions and this post is such an occassion, really put me into a wonderful mindset for the coming thanksgiving

I agree with you life is wonderful, and we really are blessed. We had a very dry time here in South Africa, but the last few weeks we had great rain, and everything just became green overnight, it is just great to see!!

I know that South Africa has had a really harsh trapped but I am so glad to hear that the rain has come in. For a year or so, I lived in the desert and I know exactly what you're talking about when you say that when it rains everything turns instantly green. I think that you have to live in an area that is dry to experience that yeah, but being a Northeastern girl it was a very weird thing to see.
