Have you hugged your child today?

Unconditional love, forever and a day.

There is something about this bond, so very special yet, it has no price, you cannot buy it, borrow or even steal it. They are usually the first source that teaches you to have confidence and believe in yourself.

Have you hugged your child today? The slogan was created in 1975 by Jack Lewis, a Kentucky state government worker. They used to have it on bumper stickers and television commercials.

It stuck with me for the rest of my life.

Pure. Joy. Affection. Caring. Sharing. Inspiring. Sweetness. Warm. Tenderness. Fun. The eternal love of a mother. My heart feels wrapped in love and tied with a bow of hugs.

Not any scent, in particular, she has her own and it is so very individual. For me, the fragrance that is left behind from a Chrysanthemum brings me back home, to my own mother. It may sound funny, but that very thing makes my soul nourished in the very essence of her love.

There are daffodils standing in the fields, coloring the landscape in a bright hue of spring. How can one refute the fact that this very moment in your life becomes part of your very own story? No right. No wrong. It is up to you how you want to write it.

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

The Naming of Cats

The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isn’t just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I’m as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.

Absolutely true, life is so very uncertain, use every chance you can to show the love! I sure do miss Leo Buscaglia in days like we have today.

"Dr. Love" is always in the house. Look inside.

Love is always bestowed as a gift - freely, willingly and without expectation. We don't love to be loved; we love to love.

Hug them, before they grow taller than you, outrun you, avoid those hugs, yes hug the big ones too.

Nothing beats that hug, turning a frown into a smile, yup all upside down when they get older and taller than you.

I am saddened when I saw the header of your post.
I haven't hugged my kids for almost a year now. The last I saw them in person was 17 March 2020.
And the felling of them in my arms is more precious than anything I've ever owned or ever will do.
I pray everyday that I will soon see them and hug them tightly...

My intention wasn't to make you sad at all. Your virtual hugs mean so much to them also. It is a very precious thing, having them in your arms - you are right. I have a feeling that you will be there, or they will be in Vietnam sooner than you think.

I send you a virtual hug today! xoxo

Oh no.. It wasn't you that made me sad at all.. I jst felt sad when I read it as it reminds me of how much I miss my boys. Oh yes.. They get lots of virtual hugs and kisses 😘.. They're so big now I wonder if they would still want mommy to hug them like when they were kids. Ha ha

I never forget to do that every day, each day of life is so precious, and I'm all too aware how fast things can change. As a former Kentuckiana boy, I'll take great pride in that slogan, as Kentucky hasn't made a lot of major contributions. They even make the Lousville Slugger but have no pro baseball team, but Kentucky nailed it with this one.
