PHOTO52 | FREEFORM
I didn't find any of the pictures in my phone that would match "freeform" as this.
This flower is called Cockscomb Flower. Perhaps it was named after the cock's comb on a rooster's head! But to be honest, it looks like brain to me, more than a cock's comb!
I saw this flower when I was walking around the neighborhood. I was amazed because it stands about a meter tall but without a single leaf! Hahaha! So I took a snap!
Glad I did.

Thanks for the visit! ❤
How are you dear friend @gingbabida good afternoon
What beautiful pictures you have taken, I really love this flower,
I am from Argentina, I live in a small city called Corrientes, I used to see this plant a lot, my mother had it in her garden, I haven't seen one in a long time. Here we know it as plume.
Thank you very much or let us know these beautiful images
have a beautiful afternoon
Hello @jlufer. Glad that you like the flower. I am from the Philippines, and like you I grew up knowing this flower. We had it in our frontyard, where my grandfather planted it. This flower is beautiful and I would say unique because of its "freeflow" appearance.
Thank you so much for visiting. How is COVID in Argentina?
The situation around here is very complicated dear friend @gingbabida there are almost 70,000 people infected and we exceed 1,300 deaths, the worst thing is that it increases day by day, it is worrying, we must be very careful, especially because winter has just begun.
Thank you very much dear friend for your interest,
have a wonderful night
Ohhhh! 😢 Sorry to hear that. Please do take extra care. Your situation is quite the same here in the Philippines. Though the statistics are not as high as yours, but day after day it is increasing. (And maybe we have a low statistics because of the lack of swab testing. 🤐) We are also in our rainy season where one could easily catch flu and cold. So of course, it is easier to catch corona virus as well. 😷
We could never do anything more but to pray and take extra precaution with ourselves. 🙏🙏
Thank you for replying and have a beautiful evening! 😊
I think you have said the right word, dear friend @gingbabida, to take additional precautions, it is we who must take care of ourselves and be reasonable with our decisions.
Thank you very much for your kind words
have a wonderful day
It is indeed a cockscomb, but, I have to agree, it is more of a brainiac looking flower. :) I love how they are covered in a soft exterior. I also have some flowers that poke out of the ground straight up on a stick.
Kind of silly looking, and then again, a little exotic.
I want you to take great care with all the COVID that is surfacing again. Especially as it is winter there now and conditions are a little bit worse than normal. Thank you for posting into the #alwyasaflower community.
Have a wonderful day!

Thanks for the great entry @gingbabida! I'm a little behind (a lot behind) and missed this one (my fault, and I'm very sorry), so I'm bumping this over to the very similarly themed Week 27 "Freedom".
