Photo 52 Week #10 Long Exposure
I always find it fascinating when you take pictures of flowing water with a slightly longer exposure time and then you can see the flow of water from the photo and sense somehow how quickly the water fell down the mountain. I always try to make sure that there is still enough texture in the water to see it's movement. | Ich finde es immer wiederfaszinierend, wenn man fließendes Wasser mit einer etwas längeren Belichtungszeit fotografiert und und dann am Foto den Fluss des Wassers erkennen und erahnen kann, wie schnell das Wasser den Berg heruntergestürzt ist. Ich achte immer darauf, dass im Wasser immer noch genügend Textur vorhanden ist, um die Bewegung des Wassers sehen zu können. |

I know that the exposure times in the photos shown here do not count as long exposure for many, but there is actually no lower limit from which one can speak of a long exposure. I would say that if you artificially extend the "normal" or "correct" exposure time calculated by the camera, be it by a gray filter (ND filter) or simply by closing the aperture, that's a long exposure ... just name it "short" long exposure ;) | Ich weiß, die Belichtungszeiten auf den hier gezeigten Fotos zählen für viele nicht zu den Langzeitbelichtungen, aber es gibt eigentlich keine untere Grenze, ab welcher man von einer Langzeitbelichtung sprechen kann. Ich würde sagen, wenn man die von der Kamera errechnete "normale" oder "korrekte" Belichtungszeit künstlich verlängert, sei es durch einen Graufilter (ND Filter) oder auch einfach durch das Schließen der Blende, dann ist das eine Langzeitbelichtung ... meinetwegen eine "kurze" Langzeitbelichtung ;) |

The following photo is my contribution to the #photo52 Week 10 Challenge, because I personally like it best - the water in the upper area has a very fine structure and looks almost like the beautiful almost gold-colored blonde hair of a woman. I took this photo like the other photos on this page on February 2nd, 2020 at the Mlinarica stream in Triglav National Park in Slovenia. | Das folgende Foto ist mein Beitrag zur #photo52 Week 10 Challenge, weil es mir persönlich am besten gefällt - das Wasser hat eine sehr feine Struktur und sieht im oberen Bereich fast so aus wie die wunderschönen fast goldfarbenen blonden Haare einer Frau. As I write this post, the first 6 positions of the witness are correctly filled again. If someone disagrees, then I don't mind, these witnesses are rightly in these places, not only because I voted for them: @good-karma, @roelandp, @yabapmatt, @anyx, @someguy123, @ausbitbank. I think we all did it together. Even if we have small votes only, all together we also have quite some weight. Now I hope that yesterday's talks with @justinsunsteemit have brought something and that we can continue without fear. |

I think my favorite is the mossy rock one. I like all the different colors, and the flow of the water. Our waters should start flowing again soon, I hope, but we are still covered in snow.
Actually, these are more pebbles than rocks ;)
Thanks a lot @bashadow, I know what you mean and I agree - the brooks where I live are somehow either colorless compared to these streams. The rocks are all in different colors from gray to brown and gold...
Our weather forecast says it will snow this weekend, but to be honest, the winter is over for me and now I'm looking forward to the spring, although I love a landscape covered in snow, such as yours :)

Great job with the long exposure. I really like the one of the falls for the contest.
That shot might not be the best photo, but when I have seen it after I took it I thought of fine blonde hair and that's why I like that shot, but don't tell my wife, because she has dark brown hair ;)

Gorgeous shots, I am maybe a bit loose witht he term long exposure, but i consider any shot that you need a tripod as it would become blurry if you try doingit hand held is a long exposure

They just declared a state of Emergency in NYC I saw on the news the number of cases is growing each day, I am not overly worried about it but with my wife have a weak immune system and me with lung issues we are being sensible but not over the top

Yes, half Europe and the World is mad because of this stupid virus. I believe they will find a medication soon, and they also say, when it gets warmer outside the virus will not be able so spread anymore, because it likes the cold. So let's hope they are right 👍🙂

the national guard and basically closed down a 1 mile circle where there has been lots of cases, the National guard will be delivering food and cleaning the area

Our borders to Italy are closed since today and if you want to enter Austria you have to show a medical certificate that you are healthy.
They are also talking about closing schools and bigger events are not allowed anymore, but our army is not on the streets yet.

Now Slovenia has closed its borders to Italy too. That was a logical decision, because if I could not enter Austria via the Italian border I just had to drive 15 minutes to Slovenia and enter Austria there.
I think the next weeks are going to be very interesting and I do hope that the people don't get stupid and stay calm and sensible, as you say.

Yes, I think so too - it will get much worse in the next days and weeks, not only because of the virus but also because of the people who are scared and don't know what's going on. They have closed the universities and the schools will be next. I do really hope the I am wrong though.

12 states so far here have declared a state of Emergency and I think more will come soon, I think this is going to be the focus for so many for a couple of months at least but i hope I am wrong

about the same here - things are going fast now and from Monday on the schools are closed - children from the age of 14 and above have to stay at home (online learning ...) and also the younger ones, if they have someone at home to care for them. Otherwise they take care of them in the schools.
Indoors are max 100 people allowed (bars, restaurants) and outdoors the maximum is 500 people ... and so on ...
Things have to get worse to be good in the end ... but as you I hope that it won't last for months.

I completely agree with you and the necessity of such drastic measures, but some people are going mad, believe me.
I don't know if I have told you before that I'm working for the government in logistics and facility/property management and our office is responsible for the state of Carinthia.
I cannot talk about internals, but I can tell you that although our government is doing the completely right thing, many people in our "company" which are just office workers as I am, are comming up with weird ideas that would only scare other people who are scared enough already ... one question was: should people in the canteen be allowed to take their cutlery out of the cutlery box with their bare hands because they could then touch the other cutlery.
To me that sounds mad, because the next step might be to make phone calls with a face mask ;)

Funnily enough well before this started I do have friends who carry reusable cutlery set with them all the time and use it in cafeterias and delis, now I do agree forcing that on everyonemay be over the top, but to do it oneself if one wants to may not be bad these days

Ohh yes I think the time is here where people have to stop thinking politics or other personal things and focus on thinking rational and what is best for all, I have seen a few people post on Social media recently, it only seems ot be bad for the old or people with health conditions, I am young and healthy so I am going to do what I want and go where I want, and they ar enot thinking how doing that can spread more and pass it on to others not as fortunate as them

That's exactly what our government tries to do by closing the schools: The youngsters should not be so much in contact with each other to avoid to get infected and they also ask not to visit the older relatives, grandparents and such, because there's a very high risk. I can see that my children do not really care, because they are young and think just the way you say.
Now we all have to help and also trust each other and forget everything else for a while, because our life and the lifes of our beloved ones are more important.

Hm, at the moment it is getting worse - the government closes every shop that is not essential for life, what means our country will run on minimal operation from Monday on. I hope the scared people don't act stupid - the police secures the borders and has order to be on the streets and to have an eye on the large food stores ...

There are so many fake informations on farcebook and other social media which scare many people, because most believe it.
We get regular updates fom our government on tv but many people believe in conspiracy theories or even the apocalypse.
My family tries to live as normal as possible, but we will try to avoid places with more than a few people. This bad time will be over one soon day and we will be stronger than before - that's what I believe.

Ohh yes the conspiracy theorists are loving this especially those doing videos with a huge following, they are churning out the videos and there followers see them as Saviors, but I am sure they have just found a nitch to make big money spreading crazy ideas, funny how good news videos make nothing panic and conspiracies make a mint, its a crazy world we live in

Some do really believe in these theories as well as many people nowadays believe in a flat earth - I love to watch such conspiracy and flat earth videos on Youtube - people seem to prefer bad news ... as you say, it is a crazy world we live in ;)
