Drau Reservoir Annabrücke . Carinthia

It's been a couple of weeks since I last walked at the reservoir. Going abroad is currently not recommended and I don't want to move too far from my family.

So I stay in my state of Carinthia and don't go very far here either.

Es ist bereits ein paar Wochen her, seit ich zum letzten Mal hier am Stausee spazieren gegangen bin. Ins Ausland zu fahren ist zur Zeit nicht zu empfehlen und ich möchte mich auch nicht zu weit von meiner Familie entfernen.

Also bleibe ich in meinem Bundesland und fahre auch hier nicht sehr weit fort.

It was relatively cold this morning, but calm and peaceful. Almost no car was seen on the streets and I was alone on my walk, but that was normal, because the path I always use, hardly anyone ever walks because it is quite overgrown, and I have no problem with that ;)

I have already found the first spring blossoms and photographed them for you - maybe beautiful flowers also create beautiful thoughts, or at least other thoughts.

Es war relativ kalt heute Morgen, aber ruhig und friedlich. Fast kein Auto ist auf den Straßen zu sehen gewesen und auf meinem Spaziergang war ich allein, aber das war normal, denn der Weg, den ich immer am See benutze, auf dem geht komischerweise fast nie jemand, weil er ziemlich überwachsen ist, und ich habe damit überhaupt kein Problem ;)

Die ersten Frühlingsblüten konnte ich auch schon finden und für euch fotografieren - vielleicht erzeugen schöne Blumen auch schöne Gedanken, oder zumindest andere.

I've known this swan for over a year. He may have lost his partner over the course of last winter because he is always alone. I don't know about swans, so of course it could also be a female who has lost her male partner.

Almost every time I go for a walk, I also meet this swan, which always comes very close and then swims its way.

He keeps making a cry that sounds like a search cry - sad, and even more sad in times like these, at least it seems so to me.

Diesen Schwan kenne ich schon über ein Jahr. Im Laufe des letzten Winters dürfte er seine Partnerin verloren haben, weil er immer allein ist. Ich kenne mich bei Schwänen nicht aus und deshalb könnte es sich natürlich auch um ein Weibchen handeln, das seinen Partner verloren hat.

Fast jedes Mal wenn ich dort spazieren gehe, begegne ich auch diesem Schwan, der immer ziemlich nahe herankommt und dann wieder weiterschwimmt.

Immer wieder stößt er einen Ruf aus, der sich wie ein Suchruf anhört - traurig, und umso trauriger in Zeiten wie diesen, kommt mir zumindest vor.

I actually always try to think positively and to convey this thinking further to the others.

At the moment this is relatively difficult if nothing else is spoken all day and there seems to be only this topic on radio and television or on the social networks.

Ich versuche eigentlich immer, positiv zu denken und dieses Denken auch weiterzutransportieren.

Zur Zeit ist das relativ schwer, wenn den ganzen Tag über nichts Anderes gesprochen wird und es in Radio und Fernsehen oder den sozialen Netzwerken auch nur dieses Thema zu geben scheint.

But we all have to think positively and not just hope, we have to trust that everything will be fine, and we will not only survive this crisis, but together we will be even stronger than before..

Aber wir müssen alle positiv denken und nicht nur hoffen, sondern darauf vertrauen, dass alles gut werden wird, und wir werden diese Krise nicht nur überleben, sondern gemeinsam noch stärker sein als zuvor.

Today Ukraine moved to another level of quarantine. Work from home if possible, restaurants, cafes, stores, beauty salons, gyms are closed for visitors from tomorrow. Only pharmacies, food stores and delivery, banks, petrol stations and ... so on will operate. I still can't believe.
It is so !DERANGED that I feel like need someting stronger than !BEER

so the Ukraine is doing the same we are doing since yesterday. That's good and I believe it is the right thing to do. I only hope that our children don't get too bored and do something stupid, but they are smart and don't want to endanger us ... I hope ;)

You are so right - it is a !DERANGED situation and !BEER is certainly not strong enough, but we will manage it and in a few weeks or months we all will be laughing :)

habe schon sehr lange keine Christrose mehr gesehen klasse.

Ja und Deine Schwänin wie ich vermute, wenn die so ruft, dann sucht sie tatsächlich ihren Partner. Schwäne sind da wie Gänse, einmal verbunden bleiben sie das bis in die Ewigkeit. Verlieren sie ihren Partner kann das bis zum Tod führen.

Hier ist alles voll von diesen großen Blumen.
Als ich vor zwei Jahren zum ersten Mal an diesem Stausee gewesen bin, hat es noch keinen einzelnen Schwan dort gegeben, aber dann ist dieser aufgetaucht und hat immer wieder nur gerufen. Einfach traurig, wenn man weiß, dass sich Schwäne für's Leben binden.

Ist genau wie bei unseren Agapornis. Wo die Susi aus Liebeskummer nun auch eingegangen ist.

Hm, in China wurden schon die speziellen Corona Krankenhäuser zugesperrt weil es nicht mehr genug Fälle gibt.
Wir sind einige Zeit hinter China, aber vielleicht kommt aus Italien auch bald eine positive Nachricht.

Today is our first day of minimal operations and in a few days we will know if it works - let's hope for us all.
Our small community here is able to beat the Sun - why shouldn't we all beat such a stupid little virus?

My Wifes Sons factory just shut down operations for two weeks and staff will be paid for that period not sure what will happen after that

I think myself its goign to take a month at least before we really see it start to be under control

I think the same - in a few weeks we will see if it works or not.
It is about the same here - people stay at home from work and get paid at least as long as the government is able to pay the companies. Let's hope for the best - stay safe and healthy my friend.

So true, their is some good news comign out such as China has closed down its last coronavirus hospital. Not enough new cases to support them.-
and reports of some vaccines and treatments being identified and tested

time will tell

These are very good news my friend. That means what we are doing is right.
Let's hope Italy didn't begin too late, because their health system is near to a collapse - too many cases and too less places in the hospitals...

I will not get tired of saying take care, stay safe and healthy because I don't say that to anyone. lol. I just figure they are smart enough to take precautions. Mrs. J and I met with a couple yesterday and the husband doesn't believe it, he thinks it's all a hoax!

And he is really smart too but that's what he thinks. When the deaths hit 100,000 in the U.S. by the end of May he may think differently.

These people are just ignorant in my eyes. Some believe in a big conspiracy, but tens of thousands or even more doctors and nurses and scientists would have to be involved in this conspiracy.
There are even people who see the photos and videos of the Italian hospitals and say it is a hoax - ignorant and stupid.
As you say, when the deaths hit 100,000 or when their neighbors die from a non existant virus they might think different ... or even not then - ignorant, stupid and sad.

Well I would think that in a few weeks everyone's eyes will be open. Mrs. J. really got irritated and angry at a co-worker today who was going on about how the virus was just a hoax and later he sneezed real loud(he's a big guy) and didn't cover up.

He was training another guard and that guard said if the guy who sneezed had the virus then he did too! Like you said..ignorant, stupid and sad!

Such people should be locked up. We do have such people here too and we also have the people who are more scared than neccessary. They lock their office door and don't let anybody in. I think they even make phone calls with a mask on ;)
