Puerto Aysén (An Afternoon By The River)
Puerto Aysén
- My family and I spent last Sunday afternoon relaxing along the river near the small town of Puerto Aysén.

Fun In The Sun
My audience is primarily North American, and may not have remembered that as you are heading into winter, we in the Southern Hemisphere are just beginning to get glimpses of summer. My daughters are so excited about the green grass, sunshine, and the chance to run around barefoot. It's pretty nice for dad too I must admit.
Location
Below are three photos that I shot with my Google Pixel 3 XL. They're landscapes and nature. The location is private. However as is the case with many areas here in Patagonia, with permission from the land owner, access to a body of water (lake or river) is often granted. Respect is necessary and you leave the land as you found it, and close any gates behind you.
New Steem
It's nice to see @intrepidphotos back on Steem here with a few recent posts. Make sure to check out his work and respond on his post about "New Steem".
I've personally found #newsteem really great. I haven't dug deep into the numbers and engagement since the change, but I've seen an increase in engagement on my own posts. Obviously engagement as a whole is still low compared to when we had $2-3 Steem, but it's nice to see fewer bots.
I had a bit of a rude awakenening to "New Steem" about a month ago. If you're curious as to how, go back a few posts and find the one with over 40 downvotes. If you can't find it, I'll link right here.

Thanks for the shout out. Good to see your still active here as well. We need to make this work as a community or as content providers we will be stuck with the shitty commercial platforms who control our followings for ever.
Just read the comment section on your downvoted post ! Brutal response. I think it was something that had to happen for the long term viability of steem. As you know I used to promote extensively (it was the only way for your posts to seen at all on #oldsteem). I was lucky enough to be watching it in the transfer period and have not promoted any posts since the change. Ultimately it is quality content providers like you and I who will benefit if the community can foster a system here which rewards post quality rather than promotion.
