My Actifit Report Card: September 22 2019
It was pretty rainy today and overcast. I did not do much but did manage to get out and play a game of disc golf with my son. I won this time by a couple of points.
The evening was cooler and only raining off and on just a little bit. It was really very nice to be out in it although we were the only people playing disc golf in the park that night.
It helps a lot to keep the discs dry. I like to wipe them down with a rag after every throw. Just a little bit of water on the discs can change the release a lot.
The wet tee pads are also something that you need to deal with. It is best not to try to get close to any full power throws. (At least for me - my son seems to throw just about as hard on the wet tee pads.)
I entertained myself today taking a few pictures of the birds. I took these through the sliding glass door. I think these birds are called mourning doves.
I have a few more pictures that came out that I might post with my next Actifit report.
I like these birds they seem pretty social. I don't think they are as smart as the crows though. I'm not sure how you judge how smart a bird is but I have heard that crows do some interesting things.
Lots of birds are really pretty smart. My dad had a parrot that he thought was as smart as a five year old kid. The parrot had a fairly extensive vocabulary and used words appropriately.
I've been seeing some pretty skinny looking frogs in the yard this season. Long and lanky looking as compared to the usual shorter wider looking types I typically see. They are different colors too. I don't know that much about them but it is fun to see them jumping around in the yard. If I can I will try to get a few pictures of this years frogs.
I also did some rather extensive optimization work on my crypto mining stuff and some trading. Pretty fun stuff but it does not add much to the step count so 5K is all I got today.

Those are mourning doves and you are correct! They are not very smart in so many ways and usually make marginal parents. They build a very small nest, sometimes only three or four twigs. The babies sometimes fall out and meet an early demise.

I think you and your son are really hitting your stride with the golf. I would be interested in seeing those frogs. I wonder if they are tree frogs?

The frogs are usually hopping around on the ground or hiding under trees. Sometimes they are up on flowers or bushes. I'm not sure if you would call them a tree frog or not.
It is interesting to know that about the mourning doves. I've always liked them.
After running a proof of stake wallet for a long time it kind of slows down from having lots of transactions in it. I like to move the coins slowly to a new address so the wallet runs smoothly again. The trick is not to ruin all your coin weight in the process.

Yes, it is kind of hard on the office chair if you enjoy sitting a lot. The Actifit reports have been good for me to try to at least try to get a 5K step count.
